From what I've seen the cyoa authors have very little to do with thread momentum, and having more to do with dedicated enough fans willing to start the generals 24/7, setting up the IRC channels and get the ball rolling with RP system recreation and being the GM.
There are very few people willing to devote that much energy and time into something like a cyoa. In most cases, its done by people that aren't /cyoag/ regulars.

Conduit and stardust died off as the authors left the threads and also applied directly to Quiet cyoa threads as well. With no Quietanon being there to disclose vague symbolical answers, the thread lost steam.
This also applied to a lesser extent to Monster Hunter and battlemage cyoa. Monster Hunter threads died due to Bliss meddling way too much with the 'official" interpretations of the cyoa and lore discussion and no one willing to step up with being the GM or setting up any RP. Battlemage ended in a similar manner, no one wanted to GM and Scientist really took too long with the battlemage update, which still hasn't been updated yet. And didn't really explain how the setting or detritus worked.
The current towergirl threads we have is a reboot done by a group of people completely unrelated to the original artist and his fans. They just picked up one day and wanted to continue the project in their own direction.

The great plains are the breadbasket of the world. I have great natural resources, especially food, and a pretty good overall location without needing to change anything
The downside is I have extremely hostile neighbors with Aztec wannabes to the south. While they are definitely a danger, they are up against modern tech and magic both without access to either. I'd like to get an upgraded citadel, which would pretty much eliminate any direct threat since they have no flying capability of their own, but at 5 points it's just too expensive.
The race change is an odd choice, but it hits all the important details. Aside from being fetish fuel, it makes a diplomatic victory easier and even dramatically improves lifespans. Asari "win" by commingling with a population while still breeding true. High charisma helps smooth relations and high intelligence is just a must for a tech-based race, plus it probably feeds the psionic powers. Ultimately we should be able to reverse engineer the tech and use it with a more portable power source.

The points costs seem weak. And where are the costs on skills? It's like the points were tacked on at the end kind of as an afterthought. A few minor grammar mistakes, but way better that 90% of CYOAs. And a rare wit that balances humor, wish fulfillment, and that illusion of tradeoffs.

Sunless Seas edge's out Spire for me.
I like how spire is independent and views you as an equal, but I like some dependency in a woman too.
Sunless Seas is bossy and seems to be lovingly dominant which is cute, and she has a way to cheat death, which is a pretty important attribute for a long term relationship when adventuring is common place and dying is pretty small of a deal.
Prison is nice if you're into ice queens, but she's not an overly cute anime, and her powers are kinda weak for going other places.
Void is pretty annoying, sure she's a good painter and shit, but not willing to be invested in a relationship or fight for me makes her pretty much useless as a friend or a lover.
Bleak Fields is a bitch. Plus that drawback kinda sucks.
Bevin seems pretty evil, I mean the only reason to pick her is because she can possibly hook you up with other people, so maybe the best choice because you can get many teammates, but she herself sucks.
The Rim is pretty cute and cool, but useless unless on her world, and the time difference would make being with her weird.
Polywhater is a slut from slut world, useless, and has no personality. Having a fuck doll isn't that appealing when likely any other girl would have sex.
Uthuli is pretty cool as a person, plus she's music Korra. Plus she's all tsundere light.
Glass Desert is shit abilities, in or out of her world because the only good thing about glass desert is one of the powers is giving you a high tier waifu, which is only useful to who has the power of course.
Crucible weak powers because she needs to be emotionally strong to be strong.

They're okay, but you run the risk of pissing of some kind of monster that may kill you, you need a lot of side abilities to even bind things, you get what might be the weakest death cheat, and I just don't see tons of use for most binding, aside from the army thing that it makes it sound like you can do. I mean, there's not a lot of firepower granted from binding compared to say Spire or Kupider, plus those two also grant lots of mobility related stuff and fields gives you laser eyes.

Gesmene would be nice, but I've dealt with druggies, and even the nicest ones can be a bit hard to deal with just because they always seem, even when sober, to be a bit slow on the uptake. Also for the life of me I don't understand the powers of that world.
Malsanis has really specific powers, which doesn't seem so great. I might not just understand her world though.
Badlands is evil, and sure specialized weapons are incredibly useful, but she can't carry 1000 bullets on her easily, as well as reload them in quick time, plus just summoning a RPG works wonders I would assume.
Mu is a cute, high tier anime (is she from Kantai or something?) but she's a little autistic, plus mind reading is a pretty big no in my book, way worse than lash of authority, because at least my mind is my refuge.

Alright. I'm viewing the world as a big RPG where I have a bunch of quests I can start in any order. Paradise perverted is probably one I shouldn't let go on for too long. It might be entertaining for a bit with people growing multiple breasts and other such fetishes, but I'm not really a fan of futa and am gonna have to draw the line there.
For massive monsters, it says reverse the effects, but maybe I can just reverse the rampaging berserking parts.

And then we come to Taleri. She's sort of my end game. I'd rescue her pretty early, and get to working on her quest throughout the game. With magical enhancement, she's bound to be using spells even more often. However, I'm not actually going to completely fix her problem. In fact, I'm using my prince of thieves to sabotage her attempts unknowingly. I will however help create a potion that will shrink her breasts back down to a normalish size, but they can still grow. With my flesh magic and Scholarly background, I'll figure out what spell of hers went awry and use it on all the women in the realm. I can then mass produce my breast shrinking potion and sell it to magic users for a huge profit, but huge breasts will be very common.
Everything else is just a bonus.

I get the feeling that it's supposed to be a setting for the conduit market CYOA by focusing on trains and commerce but it tries pretty hard to suck the mysticism out of the markets. I mean why are there special perks for enchanting your wares? How boring is it for the mystifying special object you bought from that strange shopkeeper to be made by him just to sell? Conduit gives you just the setting for things like that to have a history and alien origins that the buyer can only imagine.

I made myself Bound to my word and Benevolent, also Inspiring, Blessed and temporary leader. The theme of my magical realm is Utopian Omnibenevolent. There are sorcerers, superheroes, Gods, super IAs and so on. All have had their ontological nature woven with good intentions and an inability to hurt others. Everyone is immortal, including myself and anyone I deem my friend. Anyone who wishes to can be brought to my Magical Realm through a gateway or a portal, healed of any afflictions, blessed and made immortal too. But they won't be able of using violence anymore.
What could possibly go wrong?

Yes I was inspired by AngelAnon's Dream Princess cyoa. That and everyone who was complaining about not being able to be male. I liked Angels cyoa quite a bit and figured at first I'd just do the same stuff hers had, but then started thinking "What do storybook princes really do?" and thus it went from a page or two out to what you see now.

Doubt this one will ever do that. When most cyoas are posted they get talked about for a thread or two then fall off. To me real longevity is if people keep reposting them months later because they enjoy them.

Fantasy races invading the modern world is self defeating if the modern world is fiated to not be modern anymore. The dragon CYOA is definitely about pitting jets versus dragons, that's the most straightforward way to do it, so it's not just for it being 'still you'. It's for a valid reason.
A world in which dragons have always existed would have vastly different technology so you'd have to break immersion something fierce to have everything the same as on earth. There's a reason why 'monsters invade' is a trope, it works.

As far as canon goes, not wormanon but did read worm a lot, projections were whatever the person wanted and in the case of Siberian it was subconsciously modeled after his daughter iirc.
So a living suit of armor type thing is valid. Heck your projection could be gumby.

With three affinities I get my consoles, pr0n and animu stuff free, which is nice. So I'll take Loliform for 40, and Reality Marble for 45. Most of the time I'll be in school hoping sempai will notice me (any sempai who took Cute Boy, not any sempai who stayed a fat slobbering cheese-stained weeb, obviously); I'll use my Reality Marble to project a happy outdoors world full of friendly animals and forest spirits and so on. Lovely place for a picnic with a cute boy. Terrible place for anyone who likes to harass a little girl who doesn't want to be harassed. Forest spirits hate people who hurt little girls.
I'll go visiting the nerd house from time to time; I'm sure they have excellent LAN parties, and I'm sure they'd be happy to welcome a girl to a Mario Kart tournament.
(And once in a while I'll sneak out and visit a Deviant who took Magical Realm. And deny everything afterwards.)

You'll be happy to know I've added a Wright Prince skill that lets you buy engineer type skills so you can be a mechanic or shipwright or cyberlimb maker.
Also clarified the wording that you don't have to merge every realm you buy into one mass and can just have those as parts of your dreamrealm.
