How often do you meme while roleplaying?
I start every session with quoting the latest popular memes and throw out some more obscure/old ones throughout play so people know what a dank memester I am.
If you meme, you eat your character sheet.
tuesday.
Forgive me father for I have baneposted
>mentioning memes irl for any reason
Out of character, all the time.
Relatively often in my one group where my goal is to troll my DM, almost never in my other where others meme much harder then I ever could.
When I DM, all the fucking time. Or at least make references to things I know the players will get ooc.
Played a decker in Shadowrun who was practically an autist and spoke only in memes or would just
>imply
Everyone got sick of him pretty quickly and was ditched following a game switch.

I plano to meme in my next campaing, and my group is formed by longtime friends, so totally ok
Always
I bring my set of meme-engraved coasters to every session.

I only play one character and zhe is a MEMELORD from MEMETOPIA with a dark and brooding atmosphere and solitary personality punctuated by random (lol! V^_^m) outbursts of the latest hot memes received over the MEMENET.
>>46405051
Just to point out that the memes are internal jokes between us
>>46401766
Do in-jokes count as memes?
My group memes so hard that I once issued a challenge where they could get bonus XP if they could go an entire round of combat without using the word "meme."They succeeded but just barely. It took several rounds to get people to stop slipping and ruining it.

That was one fucking point, you cuck.
>>46401766
One time we had some masked hostages on atank.
>"So you got yourself caught. What's the next step in your master plan?"
to be fair it fit the situation.

My current character is literally a Blues Brother.
My DM allows for a lot of fun, shenanigans, and references. Stuff can get serious too, but we are mostly a bunch of goofs.
All the time.
All of the players usually shit on each other, use constant bants and meme during most sessions.
I don't know if it counts as memeing, but in our current 5e game the GM wanted an evil game, and me and the other two players aren't down with that. We instead decided to do Fantasy Metal Gear Solid, and we're playing them about like the Let's Destroy Metal Gear interpretations. My character is a pretty obvious expy of Big Boss (actual Big Boss, not Venom Snake), and our halfling rogue is Not!Ocelot
>>46405895your group was fighting a band of memelordz
Occasionally but not too often, and almost never in character. Usually it just amounts to a "Just do it!" every once in a while.

How is she gonna get out of there?
>>46407610
Slowly and with lots of lube.
>>46401766
I made a 'blessed are the cheesemakers' joke last session I ran.
>>46401766
One of my players is slowly driving me insane by quoting whatever "funny" memes he's found.
No asshole nothing in this situation is like something from one of your Japanese animes
>>46403246
>my face when someone in my group baneposts
>>46401766
>troll face
Jesus that meme should have died long ago.
>>46408437
It's actually copyrighted by the original creator, and he apparently makes significant royalties from it.
>>46401766
A few dropped here and there, plus the odd usage of "dare you enter my magical realm?"
>>46401766
My friends and I actually have a homebrew system called "Paradox Points" awarded whenever someone does something funny, or subtley breaks the 4th wall in a tasteful and funny way. Paradox Points are burnt to change the very fabric of reality, from when I decided to change my last name from "Black" to "Jaeger", the world wobbled for a bit and everybody just remembered my character as "Jaeger". It should be noted that they're a careful science to use, as one time a friend burnt 10 and wound up exploding.

We meme a hundred miles an hour over the speed over the limit.
I keep derailing our sessions into musicals.
I write up the scripts before hand and get other players involved too.
At this point, the GM has just given up trying to stop me.

Hey, my GM chose to make us fight a giant jacked dude with a mask and fire magic while on an airship! What did he expect us to do?
