It's unlikely Promethean will be nearly as problematic as Beast.
Beast was definitely experimental in nature, while Promethean already had an entire first edition to work out kinks and establish fan likes and dislikes.
Matt's a very experienced WW writer and developer, and while I haven't always liked everything he's done, Beast still stands out as terrible anomaly that will hopefully never be repeated.

More than that, I'm talking about the stuff that you get taught in school. Teachers teach that singular They is not acceptable. They also teach things like how prepositions aren't something you should end a sentence with. A lot of things like that are incredibly descriptive and ultimately arbitrary. You know where that preposition thing got started? Some guy just felt that way, so decided it was a rule, convinced other people it was a rule. It's not. It's completely grammatically correct.
I mean, don't get me wrong, *I* agree. I don't mind non-standard pronouns--for fucks sake make up whatever word you want, that's how language works--but you've got people fighting against things like "they". Even though it was in use singularly in Shakespeare's time.

The material will likely be revised, but iron currently ignores all changeling, fae, Hedge, contract and similar armor, defenses and protections, and some iron causes aggravated damage to both changelings and fae (with no distinction between them).

Exactly. Many "iron" objects actually have less iron than steel.
DavidH wants to define iron for Changeling as objects people recognize or accept as iron, rather than steel or other metals.
This would be exceedingly unhelpful as many people do indeed view steel as iron, and its the reason why in many historical and contemporary fiction involving the fae, they often are susceptible to steel (e.g., The Dresden Files).
