I'm lonely, and bad with commitment.

Are there any forums/sites with DnD games that people like me can drop in and out of?

no

get your shit together or stay out

Any D&D game you can just drop in and out of isn't a game that's worth playing.

See: all the "organized" games like Pathfinder Society
>>
The closest I can think is the Fabletop website, where games are simple and short, and can be pretty fun if you can find a good group. You gotta work on your commitment though.

I'm so lonely I have no shit to put together.

For some people it is.

If by short you mean 1hr, then that sounds alright. If not, then dropping in and out over a normal length campaign.

It's just another way of playing. Everyone knows what to expect, that they or other can appear any time or just once. You could be a character that pop in for a bit, or the characters are just silent NPC from then on when the player leaves.

Being lonely is no fucking excuse
>>

No. You're just going to have to learn to commit. That's probably easier said than done, but I'm not your counselor.

Learning to commit to a social group will be good for your social anxiety anon.

OP, I have a speech impediment. I stutter when I talk regardless of what language I'm speaking and my relationship to the person.

If I can go out and find people and get them to play RPGs with me and my friends, I'm sure you can do it too.
>>
>>46301158
I would not play with you.

Horror stories and That Guys aside, one of the most annoying things for the GM is to have a player miss a session let alone disappear for awhile and then want to rejoin. It's hard to collaborate on and plan out a story when there's a random guy coming and going without reason.

There's also the mechanical problems. DM has to rebalance encounters for the missing person, and sucks to have to play without the party healer for instance. There are cases where this screws the party because the player with the necessary skill or item is missing.

A creative enough party can work around this, sure. But in the end, why would people want to play with you when they could get someone who can commit?

So just take some baby steps. Find a one-shot, or something that's just supposed to be a few sessions online and work your way up to it.

If you're lonely you have little going on in life.

You should have plenty of time and resources to put towards not being a cunt.

Maybe you are lonely because you are a cunt.

Runnerhub on reddit is exactly what you need OP, but only if you like Shadowrun.
>>
I came here to say what a lot of people have already articulated. I'm glad OP is getting the truth, despite how harsh it may be.
>>
You're sort of... on one, OP. Aren't there threads for getting games together?

haha no you asshole. Somebody has to run the game, how the fuck do you think they can GM a good session if people just randomly decide to quit halfway through because they have some porn to attend to? fuck you, inconsiderable twat, think of the GM and respect their time and effort
>>
>>46304636
Not even just the GM. Bob the mage and Jerry the space marine might be looking forward to getting to know you, maybe talk about backstories and such. Maybe Ronald the munchkin relying on you for a combat role,

It's a group effort that does not require a great investment of money, but time is something everyone sacrifices to make this work, most of all the GM. To simply leave "Because" is a huge affront and insult to all those who put in the effort to attend and actually play.

OP is probably in bed now, but if he was here, I'd tell him this:

If you're lonely, that means you want companionship. However, you can't just take it without giving it as well. As long as you refuse to commit to making friends, you will always be lonely.
With that in mind, ask yourself "Why am I bad with commitment" and "How can I get good at commitment". Once you do so, and once you teach yourself to keep commitments, only then can you make friends.

COMMIT MOTHERFUCKER
>>
>>46301158
Your inability to follow through with or stick to anything you've decided to do is the reason why you're lonely.

Fix it or, get comfortable with the idea of being alone for the rest of your life or kill yourself.
>>
>>46302400
Single session campaigns are the only campaigns it is acceptable to attend only one session of.
>>
>>46301158
Well you should probably start by getting treatment for your obvious clinical depression, but you're probably not going to.

Friendship, and most healthy social interaction, is a give and take. If you can't sacrifice a bit of your time for others then you're an asshole who doesn't deserve to get to hang out. What you're asking is basically, 'How do I get to use other people for my own well-being without having to do work?' Well newsflash jackass, it doesn't work that way.
