snowy mountaintops in tarzan africa suck shit tho

Inspired by Mount Kilimanjaro, still on the fence about it. Doesn't make the most sense.
Does anyone have that realistic island tutorial picture?
>>46288170
Depends on what part of Africa he's setting it in. The climate and biome is surprisingly variable.

I might have got you?

Andes have plenty of snow at tropical latitude - mountains just need to be high enough
>>46288365
It's pretty much basend on Cameroon (I even got the old colonial name as you can see in the map)
according to the topografical map on wikipedia makes sense to be there some snowy peaks, even if I might have gone overboard with it a little

>marshes only form in arid climates
>>46288416
>low coastal flatlands become marshy

overall visual appearance is ok
mountains are ok with snow if tall enough
Scale seems way too small esp. for tall mountains. Make it 100 chilometri or a little bigger.
coastline is ok
islands seem oddly shaped and placed, many islands are extensions of mountain ranges.

Thanks for the feedback. Didn't really took in consideration scale for mountains, will do next time. same thing for island placement.

Encyclopedia Britannica 1911 online will give you a geological and climate overview that is invaluable.
cut and paste the article and purge all the useless data and you have a solid campaign area detailled
Obligatory Dominions 4 image.

"Amberport" island could be made into a spot. Coastline suggests possible northward transport of sediment plus two rivers dumping sediment into the bight there. Consider changing the shape to more of a N-S oriented barrier island or spit
>>46288772
Spot was spit autocorrected

Here's a map of a sovereign principality inside the larger "nation" of Ganush. Ganush is inspired by ancient ethiopia and india with a reasonable share of cultural/military influence from the notGreek civilisation to their north.

Nice I like the changes in the shade of the terrain. Since in my campaign most of the continent is unexplored there aren't really any streets in it, but I was thinking about some others details I could add
>>46288772
I see what you mean, I need to think more about how the land has morphed in the eras and add features that make sense. Thanks again
