Ah, that's not bad at all. Proportions are nice. Might use them as a proxy for Imperial Guard, instead of the balloon-animal proportions Citadel has for them.

They do look a little goofy from further away, though.

Now that I think about it, they do have the 343-era FUCKIN ANGLES EVERYWHERE aesthetic, which I personally find grating.

No, not at all. The scale of Halo Battles in the games is usually a few dozen combatants per side. That's the ideal scale for 15mm, 28mm is way too big for tbat.

Once you involve vehicles that can actually move, 28mm gets too big very quickly. Just because 40k makes you think that planet threatening battles only take a parking lot sized space to resolve doesn't mean its right.

40k is not a skirmish game. To my knowledge infinity, warmahordes, frost grave which are skirmish games don't have vehicles. Alsom these games don't use a 6by4 sized tables

Honestly I find 343 aesthetic fine in most areas except for scenery, I also didn't like the armors at first, preferring the halo 3 aesthetic, but they've grown on me.

Infinity has dropships, but those aren't represented on the table (though they can be), and are usually just used as a profile so Hackers can screw up drop troops.

Well, most of the battles MC is part of can be defined as skirmishes, but they tend to be part of larger campaigns, case in point the battle of instalation 04.

They have half a dozen figures a base and field a couple dozen infantry bases that fit into formations alongside based vehicles and larger stompy vehicles.

For huge battles, 6mm is damn good. For small battles, 15mm is the way to go. And for skirmish, 28mm is good.

I'm actually excited because a game like this at this scale could put 15mm into the mainstream for wargames, outside Flames of War. Everyone else is busy trying to imitate GW with 28mm, or go their own way with 32-35mm.
