Apologize for the lack of references but I am away from my computer at the moment.
Playing an ork in a rogue trader game. Could I get pic related, but orkified, with a boss pole covered in some kind of red crystal gubbinz from those pansy eldar?
Instead of claws it has one enormous buzz-saw and one mini volcano cannon (melta gun) mounted in place of the hands. It has an orky face slightly reminiscent of a gargant on the front and a large presumably Diesel engine on the back.
Bonus points if it's cutting a 60m long daemon slug in half.

I need a picture of my PC. He's a young male Aasimar scholar/healer with a serene nature, pale skin, short, golden-blond hair, wielding a quarterstaff/walking stick and with his eyes always closed, as he's blind and sees supernaturally. The left and middle images are a good yardstick for his apparent age.

I'd quite like some updated character art for this guy, who's had a bit of a rough time lately!
Humbly requesting the man in pic related, mask on the floor looking sad, after losing the right leg from the knee down in a bad teleporting accident, and the right arm from the elbow down incinerated, with his wolf trying to comfort him
Clothing would be simple under-armour stuff, light cloth shirt and pants, that show how crippled he's become. On a related not, his left arm would be covered in runes of resist magic tattoed onto it, hiding burn scars on the forearm.
He'd also have a tiny black rock tied around his neck, a shard of a meteorite.Also if you really want to, there'd be a small girl made entirely of mercury trying to comfort him too, hands bound in chains and hair tied in two pigtails, she'd be about the size of a gnome. She's basically become his adopted daughter. She was based appearance and somewhat personality wise off of Ayla from the game awesomenauts

I know there is a stigma against group shots, so this one will be as straightforward as possible.
I would like something with a similar vibe as pic related, but with the large face in the back being his face instead(I apologize for the crummy face shots, it's the best I could find without straight up asking him for self shots). You can have as much detail or as little to the characters in the front, even if you want to make them indeterminate silhouettes. But for anyone who'd want to get detailed, our party includes a Tiefling warlock, Human paladin, Moon Elf bard, Changeling wizard (shaped like an anthropomorphic frog), and a Warforged fighter. Greetings drawfriends! My request is a human wizard named Astronima that specializes in time magic and clockwork magic.
Her body type and clothing is similar in to the reference picture (yes this is a fantasy setting and that picture isn't fantasy, long story), but she has straight, shoulder-length blonde hair, green eyes, and has no scarring like in the picture. Instead of a wrench, she is carrying her spellbook, which is titled "Astronima's Spacetime Juju".

The first place I would start is creating a regular project that would interest people.
Even if it's "I'm going to draw naked sci-fi ladies of all varieties" that's a theme!
Second is some kind of schedule.
So, on the first and third week you do a panel of your project. second week of every month you dump all art you've created while drawfagging and killing time, and at the end of the month you raffle off a sketch to your backers (exciting!) and then poll your backers to see what happens to your cyoa heroine!
It's having a solid product (your art) and setting expectations (project and scheduled updates) with something that makes your audience feel special (raffles and cyoa input)

The lifter armour is the chassi, Orks added more hydraulics and armour, giving it more of a rounded top and an orky gurren lagann on the front (gork they said)
The picture of the mini is what I imagined the volcano cannon to look like and the reference for the saw blade is self explanatory. The boss pole is bedecked in crystal growths of similar colour/appearance to the listed stones, with a big Braunt dynasty flag on top (the diving falcon in the other image)
The penis worm is what I imagined the daemon entity to look like, if maybe a little less Penisy.

A guy in black robes/leather armor with a hood and plague doctor mask (pictured). Traditionally the lenses are red if you're gonna color it, but not a big deal. Dark Sun character, Half Giant Fighter
Male, just over 11 feet tall. Big and muscled. Dark Sun, so his skin might as well be leather from all the sun burn and tan. Has short black hair that's filthy since he makes no attempt to take care of besides cutting it back when it gets into his eyes. Wearing Scale Mail made of bone(or some animal scales, either way), with a tower shield made of an insect shell on his left arm. In his right arm, he has a javelin, with silk rope attached to the end, like a harpoon would.
On his back he has a big quiver full of more javelins, about twenty of so. He should be smiling, in good cheer, very happy go lucky. On his belt should be an atlatl hanging, which is a weird name for a fancy looking stick. Included a picture reference, but not a big deal.
If you want to do a more action pose, you can have him winding back to throw a Javelin using the atlatl.

I usually prefer to know the requester actually cares about the request, more than any other factor.
Care and effort put into the request and reference helps show that sometimes.
Also, if they keep politely reposting the same request over a long time, I know they really want it.Gotta love an underdog
Some requests just seem like interesting concepts or that would challenge me and be impressive if I pull them off.
Also, there are things I am trying to work on to develop my style as an as artist, like certain races.
Finally, I avoid requests that involve tg stuff that I dislike or know next to nothing about, such as 40k.
That said, I did a 40k bike because the reference was detailed, it seemed challenging, and the guy posted the request a dozen times with no takers.
The only real turn offs for me, besides obvious asshats, are the flippant whim requests.
And that’s just because drawing is a slow effort for me and I don’t want the result to just be, “Huh, neat.”, and then end up in a folder with dozens of other ignored images.
Whereas some of the amazing and quick drawfriends seem to love whipping off three word whims to delight anons with their talent, and are certainly good at it.
Perhaps I should try quick doodles more.

Some drawfriends want precise directions, details, and constraints.
“Freedom you give a drawfag”, and specifically your use of “freedom” in responding to that post, suggests fewer constraints.
Although technically, a heavily specified request could be described as giving the drawfriend the freedom to be constrained by its details, but that’s literally figuratively literally confusing and counter intuitive.
I suspected you were saying that brief, open ended requests were more likely to get filled, and I was just trying to disagree in a pithy manner.

Requesting a picture of a hooded/robed, hunched man. His hands are more claw than hand. He appears to be in constant pain, his eyes focused, and a hint of insanity within them. His features are feral, more beast than man but human enough to make even the most steadfast weary. He is able to use Radiant magic, a mixture between Fire and Light magic, along with Shadow magic, a mixture of Light and Dark magic. (Negative/Necromatic)

Artist can fill in however they wants or change things to make it easier on them but I'd like to keep the theme remotely the same with importance placed on the feral half-human aspect with the magic being more of a flavor thing.

I am an amateur, but for that specific thing, I did it in greyscale then added the colour on seperate layers with clipping group checked and overlay mode on. I think I was just googling for how to colour greyscale. It's quite useful to study things in greyscale in order to truly capture the tonal shifts in an image. I use a hard-edge and soft edge with my brush, using a basic brush then smudging the side that appears more smudged in the original image. Speaking of greyscale, I got some progress on these heads, but I seem to have caught a terrible cold that is draining me. I thought I'd post progress before I take a nap. Yes, Female Head A1 is completely based off of Audrey Hepburn, and I'm sure it shows, maybe too much. If you guys have any good suggestions for who to base a face off of in any given category, I'll try and get to them when I awaken. And most of them are subject to big change to avoid sameface.
