Or if you don't want to go quite that far size-wise, at least consider barbs.

If you're feeling reasonably confident about who's going to step on them, poison is a given as well. Wrap a viper-bitten liver airtight and leave it someplace warm to it mature for a week or so, that supposedly makes a good one (if perhaps more of bacteriological than directly toxic). Monkshood root extracts are another old favourite. The juice from the cicuta root is also toxic as bloody hell, but has a very poor shelf-life.

>>
>>46240217
to save electricity? for safety? your plugs really speak allot about your society as a whole, two straight parallel lines, meaning its very easy to accidentally come out, not a strong hold, also very flimsy. no earth plug point, but your counry has a huge population, you can stand t loose a few million idiot to that one and no one would complain. finaly no switch, meaning its always on, using electricity. im an electrical engineer, ive only ever seen two power boards in real life, the ones in china where i was born and the superior spooky australian plugs

>>46240234
Quick question here. How exactly does australia exist in a different dimension and how crazy are you physical laws? Cause in america eletricities not shooting out of our power sockets 24/7 unless we turn that shit off. Heres how it goes for us and you tell me how its different for you:
>plug electronic into plug
>free because device is off and not drawing power
>turn eletricity on
>pay for power used from therein
>turn electronic off
>cease paying for eletricity
>unplug
>still not paying cause powers not being used or wasted since its not bleeding into the air due to laws of physics.
>>
>>46240558
To be fair, lots of modern appliances don't come with an off-switch. But as others have said, it's trivial to just pull the plug when you're standing in front of the socket anyway.

Also, I spoke to a few Australians and they were shocked to find that around here people aren't terrified of electricity. Apparently they won't do anything more dangerous than exchanging their light bulbs.
>>
>>46240589
They do know that you can literally hang off a powerline like a monkey and be safe, right? Like so long as you don't touch anything else or cross the lines you can stand come away scott free? That even if you stick a fork into your outlet all you get is a shock (at least in america i have no idea what kind of power comes out of australia sockets). Its so safe the only way you can kill yourself is through something that purposely adapts the volts upwards such as toasters and the like.
>>
>>46231574
Clearly because normal caltrops were designed to have a wool covered side if by perchance you wanted to only tickle your enemies.
>>
>>46240589
I just learned that Australians fear wall sockets because they're pushing 230 volts at 15 amps. No fucking wonder they have off switches. That shit is liable to arc on a humid day.
>>
>>46240758
So what does yours push out princess? I don't expect much given you don't have off switches on them.
>>46240625

>>
>>46240791
We were under the assumption you were using safe voltages and amperages.
>>
>>46240791
What it takes to run a common household appliance? 120 volts at around 3 amps. We have seperate breakers for higher amperage appliances like a clothes dryer. Congrats on installing lethal current in easy reach of your children though, you upside down monster.
>>
>>46240795
Oh and 120 volt at 12 amp. "Safe" pull is capped at 15 but the breaker will switch at 20 amps.

>>
>>46240234
We generally wire sockets to a wall switch, if at all. That way you can toggle it without having to bend down to the socket.

Secondly, we do have ground lines. That's what the third, rounded prong is. They aren't present on every cord because not every appliance draws enough power to require a ground, while sockets designed for low loads (often meant only to support a lamp or other light fixture) lack a ground port so you can't plug in an appliance that would overload the socket.

Additionally, our sockets often have a breaker built in.
>>
>>46241367
I thought there were regulations now that state you had to have breakers on the outlets.

>>
Turning something off is more convenient than unplugging it, many things never need to be unplugged but still use power even when turned off.
>>
>Itt: anons who do not understand how electrical currents work

Even if the electronic device is off, there is always power going trough it, because the electrical current is in a closed circuit. The way electrical current work, its a closed circuit from the power generating source all the way to the powered devices, with the current going across it constantly and more or less evenly ( depending on whether you are on AC or CC devices). So even if a device appear to be set to off and have no apparent power to it, it still has the current that would power the device going into it but it is simply redirected back to the main line instead of powering it.

This is why it is dangerous to leave certain devices like hair dryer plugged into the walls, because they can eventually get really fucking hot due to the electricity going through it constantly, doesn't even need to be turned on.

Mine was some sort of engineer in Korea - he never actually gave an official name on what he did, but he had a truck and worked on repairing radios and such. He gave me some of his old tools, but I have no idea what they even are, and I don't have a picture to share. Ended up Sergeant First Class.

Well yeah. Why do you think its called hydroelectric power? They both flow too, and as far as i'm concerned i need both on a daily basis to live. you ever see rain steaming a bit off big power lines, you ever wonder how your water heater works? Why do you think water pipes and eletric wiring are all copper in your home? Why do you think you aren't supposed to take a shower and unplug your shit during a storm? You know how you need to make a circuit between 2 wires to kill yourself? That circuit between a toaster and the bathwater is the exact same thing and thats why it kills you.
