I've been thinking about the comvinations of CYOA alot since the Paperwork Error CYOA has the 'aditional CYOA' option I can take many times. (For mucho points.)
One combination is the No John, You are the Demons' CYOA, Lust DLC for battlemage and A Peverted CYOA. Another replaces Peverted CYOA with Armorsmith. (There is lust options.)
A Peverted CYOA and Armorsmith to lower inhibitions and make slave collars that turn women into lusty and 'ready' vessels for whatever meat is paid to perform on camrea.
I'm going to post a 'combined build' for both and my reasonings for it.

You know what this CYOA needs? Limits. Modifiers that somewhat reduce the amount you get from options but prevent certain things outside your comfort sphere? For example, I'm looking at the Teasing option, and while I'm cool with being teased, it mentions people with significant others would do it. I'm not cool with that. Why not have a modifier that prevents people in relationships from being involved and costs points? There's already one for people you're attracted to, I don't see why one that prevents people in relationships from being involved is any different fundamentally.

Every CYOA has bad choices, but they're usually because your options don't work well with each other or something more complex, Overlord has plenty of bad choices.
If you're talking about complications, then I'd like to mention that complication rewards are all over the place. Look closer:

4000 Angels(A force that would cost 4000 coins) descend on you, led by a *God of War*. You gain a measly amount of 5 coins for this. The whole tree is unbalanced in a risk/reward perspective, even the simple Paladin Family gives less coins than they should.

2000 Mercenaries will come fight your lands, 4000 on desert or tundra. Better than Holy War, but still.

2 Coins to fight thousand of elves. They start inside your domain this time, and know your fortress better than you do. Again, same mistake. Pass. PASS. P A S S.

Unlike the above complications, you could argue that this one is better because Lawful Good kingdoms have smite undead spells and angels, and the 4 coins are a good reward which could almost pay for a angel in itself.

Min/maxers have effectively solved most of those problems through dragon's back. You have a behemoth dragon and all your holdings is on its back. Although a behemoth dragon is formidable by itself, its no match for the overwhelming numbers opposing you from taking those complications, so the most rational argument you can make to survive their assaults is to simply do a strategic retreat, while you tactically hit and run until you wither their forces small enough to engage them in open battle and eliminate all your threats in one fell swoop.
The only arguments against Dragon's back is that a behemoth dragon is fuckhuge and require substantial amount of food and water to keep it going, which can be easily solved by taking skeletal (requires no food or water whatsoever) or golden (solar powered).
Really the only things dragon's back does immediately solve is how do you sustain your 2000 citizens if you're constantly retreating and the Underdark (which to be fair, players have solved that problem by taking one with nature and elementism: Earth, detecting where all the elves are using your expanded awareness via one with nature and collapsing the caverns on top of them or blocking passages via elemental earth magic.)

Then you take more behemoth dragons, last time I checked the cyoa, you can take a maximum of 3-4 behemoth dragons by spending shards. And about 1 or 2 extra without severely crippling you.

The problem with that is you're only getting one General advisor and it costs you one gold per captain of the guard while taking any of the army complications nets you 2-5 gold and thousands of enemies gunning for your head. The margins are just too disproportional. Because really none of the companions save dragons can help you when you're outnumbered 20+ to 1 as most of the companions are too overly specialized while dragon companions are way too flexible and can pretty fulfill any role you went them to.
The most optimal choice is to spend your gold on getting drake sized dragon companions.
And this is why the all dragon builds were so popular and hated back in the hay days when overlord cyoa was really the only good "build your own kingdom" type cyoa available.

I made that post under the assumption that pouch B was like pouch A, 'cept for ingredients, instead of just an ingredient-specific bag of holding, hence "making the potions as you need them", so you can just ignore it.
I'm pretty sure the scarab is just an ingredient like any other, though (i.e. consumed when put into a potion), meaning that you'd still need to buy more if you want to strengthen other potions with age.
