Lady Camilla Everbright- The legendary beauty of the midlands, master arcanist and our glorious vampiric leader

Main settlement(unnamed)- lays on the western side of the river, heavily fortified with walls, keep and an underground lair.

Our main settlement has around 300 people in it

Northern town/fort
fortified with high walls, set near the old Dwarven imperial highway. They operate a few farms and have a population of around 50, not including the garrison of the fort(between 30 and 100 men, 30 during peacetime)

Our total population runs around 350 people with 35 vampires, the rest are our human thralls and various other servants.

We also control a vampiric Orc who has infiltrated the orcs of the far north and currently leads a warband 50 warriors strong.

We are currently closely allied to the elves, who are ruled by a militaristic leader, their current Archon is Narkos, a renowned mage and warrior

They rule a small town and have a small defense force consisting of rangers

We also have friendly relations with the Dwarves, but have had recent trade disputes due to their undercutting our metalcrafters in local markets.

The Dwarves control a massive Empire and command thousands of troops, their coffers also run deep, allowing them to field large numbers of mercenaries to exist their standing armies.

Our own military consists of 30 professional warriors and another 70 men serving as militia.

Last we left off we developed a greater understanding of magic, crushed a major orcish warhost, backed by a dark god, and managed to preserve the corpse of Karn the Reborn, a massive orc, touched by some Dark god for future research.

Our victory over the orcs brought us closer to the Elves and the Dwarves, who fought alongside our troops.

There are many gods and religions, the Elves have their own Pantheon of gods, the lizards worship their dragon forebearers, the dwarves worship their ancestors, humans worship a variety of deities, from the dark gods, to the natural spirits and the gods of other races. The orcs tend to follow the spirits of nature.

Finally vampires will often fake belief in other gods and religions but ultimately tend to worship themselves

Camilla travels to the great slave markets of the Dwarven Capital to purchase some badly needed new blood for the settlement.

Three main groups catch her eye(each group numbers around 100 for counting purposes)

Camilla hands over the 1000 gold pieces and has a few of her guards make the arrangements for the prisoner transfer, 2 river transports being allocated to the cause.

Upon their arrival in our village the recently purchased slaves are uneasy but easily corralled by 2 dozen guards armed with spears and crossbows for crowd control.

How should we deal with the new arrivals

A. Allow them to join our people(grant citizenship and land grants)

Granting them freedom will likely make them more spirited and productive, but comes at the cost of a higher chance of rebellion, it is also unknown what their reaction will be to our true nature

An expedition is gathered, consisting of several traders, scouts and soldiers and sent west to make contact with the human tribes there.

After several weeks of travel they encounter several small tribes, depleted by Dwarven slave raids and fighting amongst themselves.

The people in the westerlands are superstitious and primitive, barely scratching enough food to feed themselves and lacking any serious industry.

Given the state of some the tribes it would be easy to take their land from them, or of course we could take them back to our land, by force or by invitation.....

Whats our next move?

While we were unable to ascertain which dark lord granted Karn his power, we were able to increase our knowledge of demonic magic and Camilla was able to absorb a splinter of Karn's considerable soul power, storing in it in a gem.

Using our necromancy and some corpses from our battle with the orcs over a month ago, we stage a caravan raid on ourselves, our new vampiric chieftain happening to come across an arm's shipment destined for his more peaceful rivals who we have vigorously stated that we are siding with.

In addition a few warriors have joined his camp,providing training and teaching them how to maintain their new equipment. Our warriors have avoided attention so far, and aside from the tribes fighters, have not been seen.

After a few weeks, one small tribe has already sworn fealty, while our ally continues his wars.

A few more caravan "raids" on food shipments keep his tribe well supplied compared to his rivals...
