Not me, but my character directly played in this one's death...
He died a couple rounds into his introduction, before the whole warband was even together. Saw my mutant scum and flew into a frenzy, I and the SoB-in-training that was just recruited both killed him. He didn't even get a chance to say a single intelligent line. Mostly growling, snarling, and various curses and the word "heresy" here and there.

I am probably missing something. I've been trying to wrap my head around tbe space combat system in Rogue Trader, and I THINK I've got it. But one question still puzzles me: what's the point of Lance weapons? Why would I ever mount a Lance on a ship instead of an extra Macrobattery? What's the advantage?

The group's mutant was in the cupola. As soon as I saw him, I frenzied and attacked the mutant, while the rest of the party attacked me.
I lost a leg, burned fate due to losing my leg, then would have had to burn another fate to survive the ensuing blood loss.
I decided to turn in the character rather than start a new character with 0 fate points.
