Does anything about the torri register as a power source? It's possible the structures are part of her hologram trick, either near them or within the "sacred space"

Also, plan to wreck Fox Fire's "sacred space" something fierce when we win.

>Oriental, eh? How about I orient your head 180 degrees from your body?

Which is why, instead of arbitrarily wasting energy destroying anything and everything, we flick through all our vision spectrums and note the things which heat unusual heat signatures, or else are emitting unexpected radiation.

And then we take note of them as targets for later, but don't destroy them straight off, because we want to keep the vision card up our sleeve so she will underestimate us.

We drop out of the visible spectrum, cycling through the higher and lower wavelengths.

"Here kitty kitty..." We say stepping out of the light and into the wilderness.

You have to admit you'e impressed. The forest-gardens they keep on top of the arcology sky scrapers aren't this impressive.

"Here kitty kitty..."

>>46125853
We slam our PB into a tree. Splinters fly like shrapnel and ping harmless off our armor. It's real alright.

"...Ara ara..." A voice snakes its way through the environment. "That poor tree. Do you have ANY idea how much that cost? Any idea the sacrifice it took to bring a living thing from Mother Earth and bury it here below the lunar soil?"

A form appears below the torri on the stony path clad in a flowing white kimono.

"But perhaps you do not understand. You do think I am a cat after all. I question your intelligence, newborn." Her voice is beautiful, but stern.

She crosses her arms. "Nontheless, I have been...working to be a merciful kami. My incarnation in this form, it is not ideal. I detest sullying my hands like some ruffian. And yet I must. Such wonders as my shrine require great sacrifice. You yourself are a sacrifice to me and my divinity."

We zoom our vision toward her and make out her details. Her kimono is decorated with simply crimson red flame designs that streak out from the fringes. Her hands, feet, and face are covered in orange fur. Her eyes are enormous and as pure blue as the sky. With one hand she plays lazily with a strand of long black hair with short cropped bangs that reaches down past her waist. Two ears project out from the top of her head.

You notice that she isn't standing. She's -hovering-, toes pointed down at the stone.

"Well then, are you quite ready to fight me?" She waves a hand at you dismissively. "At your will then. Come at me."

You have chosen wisely.

"Wait, you aren't a kitty?"

"Ara ara..." Fox Fire places a hand on her head. "Foolish tomboys. You're all so...disrespectful, thinking you are so above your station." She smirks. "Ufufu..." She says covering her mouth with her hand. "I know I shouldn't enjoy violence so, but I do so like teaching you tomboys manners..."

While she monologues we're busy using a claw to carve our Constellation into one of her torii, nonchalantly as if it means nothing to us.

"Ahhh!" She yells. "Stop that! Stop that at once!" Her eyes turn a blazing, angry shade of red. "Brutish! Simple! Uncouth! TOMBOY!"

While she raves, we nonchalantly flew our tail and shoot off a harpoon.

No one saw us use our harpoon in our previous match.

She has no idea what it is.

I don't think that's responsible. Also, I don't know how rolling works for damage or to-hit. For all we know, we might keep the 8 anyway, as best of three is common.
>>
>>46126947
We've only got those. And the one Diana gave us I guess. Our tail is:
>THE HARPOON-The tip creates a small, self-replenishing energy blade. This "light knife" can be shot as a weak projectile or used to cut and slice, but it is mainly used to ensnare or spear opponents and then reel them toward you via a photon cable.

I really want our bite to be worse than our bark. So if she does win, it's gotta cost her, hopefully enough that the bookies start backing us.

And then Fox Fire doesn't even bother hacking us, just incinerates parts of us and leaves us feeling insulted we didn't even count as a 'worthy foe'. Untouched but double the stat penalties from the insult.
>>
>>46127219
Let's see if she has the chops for it. We may be able to win this if we are, well...smarter than our act.
>>
>>46126980
The harpoon...jerks...in the middle of the air. But in a flash it continues on its way, powering through whatever tried to stop it.

It hits Fox Fire right in the shoulder, but not as deep as we would have liked (4 damage).

"What IS this?" She gasps as she tries to grab the photon chain and burns her hand, recoiling with a shock. "S-So you want to fight do you?" She glares at us, eyes angry and focused. "You fool! I'll make you kneel before my and BEG for my forgiveness!

And then you see it flicker behind her. Her tail, long and silky.

And then you see 9 of them.

And she's glowing.

And the world is starting to spin...

...We definitely got her full attention now...

>>46126947

MY THIRD ARM which can be activated anytime we do something other than use our tail (because it lets us use our tail and one other action)

DIANA PROGRAM: We can activate any time before we attack with a range attack, because it allows us to take the best roll of the first three rolls.

ORDERS? REEL HER IN? SLAM HER INTO SOMETHING? USE AN OBJECTS AS A WEAPON?

>>46127263
>>46127249
Normally I do this thing where the first three rolls are ranked as BAD, VERY BAD, GOOD, OR VERY GOOD and see how much of each rank we got to determine a result.

I like the idea of running different systems for different games. For instance I'm experimenting with an idea for a system that will require -no- rolls but instead has the player bet a certain amount of points.

It's not one. We have a secret weapon that we also plan to use as a means of shaming our opponent. Turnabout is fair play, and given our impishness and her haughtyness, I expect the 'nice' Kitsune to be very petty. Her anger is already confirming this anyways.

And if she doesn't do it, I'm sure somebot will
>>
>>46127583
She may very well be able to burn us at close range as well. Fire Robots are built to be retardant naturally, and Flamethrowers are easier to aim than pile bunkers.

So reel her in and pound her into the dirt, douse her in extinguisher and then continue beating her into a fine pool of mud? I don't know when hacking can be done.

Depending on how the thrust appears to be acting on her body, we could perhaps hazard a guess where her antigrav drive is? Or where the wires are. Then again, her sensory distortion is probably a countermeasure to prevent just that. Shame for her, we have improved senses.

We didn't get it. We got wide spectrum sight and tracking nanites. Right now we can't see clearly, but it seems we've caught her with our harpoon. Since we can't really see, we should go for the biggest target, her body. We're going to pierce whatever crappy armor she's got, the challenge is hitting.

We wallop her right in her her face!

It feels like punching something underwater (3 damage delt) but our fist goes through and we can hear the mechanism inside her head rattle.

"Ohhhh...." She wines as she hovers above us. "You HURT me you TOMBOY!" She shouts. "And you ruined my kimono!" She apparently doesn't notice the significance of the grass-green paint we smeared on her.

She holds her hands in front of her. Red balls appear on her palms. "...Burn." She sneers, and the two globs of fire fly at us.

...Let's hope the nano-paste holds up...

Our paste covering evaporates. We throw out another and its gone as well. We throw out our last one and thankfully it manages to suppress the fire without losing much of itself.
