Operation Unity has begun.
Tel Aviv continues to burn as the five major factions throw every pilot, every resource, and every hour of manpower into destroying the Puppet's central stronghold. Tel Aviv, as well as the long strip of the coastal Eastern Mediterranean containing the Puppet's last strongpoints, have been in contention for days. Fighting has claiming an innumerable amount of lives, and the damage to both the area and the resources supplied around the world has been dramatic, to say the least.
You were selected to lead the elite team tasked with destroying the terraforming equipment present in the city's largest arena. Getting there has been difficult due to the constant presence of VP forces, and it looks as though the VP will throw every last pilot they have before they allow you to destroy the arena's equipment.
If the arena is destroyed, more pressure can safely be put on Tel Aviv by the factions, establishing a foothold. If Tel Aviv is retaken, one of the largest concentrations of VP pilots falls, and its fall may prompt a series of snowballing victories in the area.
If you can destroy the equipment in the arena, you can retake Tel Aviv.
If you can retake Tel Aviv, the factions can finally get a major foothold.
If the factions can finally get a major foothold, the war is over.
Everything depends on this mission, because it very well might be your last. Give it everything you've got.

All pilots start in the University sector's Faction Controller area. Anyone not present for Part 1 who registers for Part 2 is considered to have been moved during time passed.
Please post all builds using Pastebin or in-thread. Wiki builds are accepted but are not especially easy to copy or quickly review.
If you are using a black market weapon or equipment that is not in the Long List of Black Market Shit, post it along with your build.
Players are to join with on a "first come, first serve" basis. The limit of active players in game at one time will be 10 players. This is intended to ease confusion on all ends and make the game a little smoother and faster.
When registering, you have to provide:
1. A 2.0 compatible-build with fully approved weapons and equipment.
2. All roll modifiers, including ones specific to situation or gear.
3. Any extra information (fluff or otherwise) that you feel is relevant.
I will be more focused on making sure the game runs smoothly on my end, so I ask that all of you act as watchdogs for your own builds. Failure to provide all of your roll modifiers won't result in any penalization, but I may fail to apply modifiers not explicitly stated.

A system will be implemented into Unity to help provide players with better means of scheduling their time. The "Defend/Reinforce" system will allow this. At approximately 16:00/17:00 PST (the time will be decided during the mission when the opportunity best presents itself) there will be a chance for any players who wish go inactive (to go to work, to sleep, or otherwise) to enter a "Defend" state. During the "Defend" state, inactive players' pilots will move to a certain part of the map and defend it as an NPC. During the "Defend" state, pilots will have no active hand in mission objectives but are guaranteed to live (you cannot die in a Defend state) and will be available for use on any later part of Unity run in the future. On the other side, players who wish to join late can do so using the "Reinforce" state. During a "Reinforce" state, players who are not in the mission can join and become active to either replace the spots left by inactive players or alternatively fill any open spots. Note: Even if there are open spots after the first registry, they will only be open to players during this state! Those who reinforce must register in the manner posted above, but can join the game late to better fit their schedules. In this sense, the "Defend/Reinforce" system is a means of cycling out/in players so that time zones or scheduling conflicts do not interfere with the ability to play a mission.
There is a dead-set time of 22:00 PST as the cut-off point for the mission, which would be a 12 hour block. There will be two cycles for players in/out.

When making rolls, please make them explicit in what is being rolled for. If you are going to have a multi-action roll chain, please designate it as [ROLL 1 - X, ROLL 2 - Y, ROLL 3 - Z, etc.] EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT SURE IF THE ACTION REQUIRES A ROLL OR IF THE ACTION IS ALLOWED. As stated in the big message before, there will be no major reveals during Unity. Unity is designed to be a simple mission with a large deal of action. Pilots will be going to the arena in Tel Aviv to destroy the largest terraforming equipment that the Puppets have. This is the objective, and any means of doing this is allowed. If you think you can get it done in one part, I absolutely suggest you try just for the fun of it. I will be making Unity a crazy mission, the queued second part is due to precedent with main missions - I will not be intentionally dragging out this mission. If players finish the objective, a winner is you!
As stated prior, I will be cutting off the mission (that being Part 2) regardless of place at 22:00 PST. My limit is 12 straight hours. If there is a better place to pause the mission to be picked up later, I will take the opportunity if presented between 20:00 and 21:59 PST.

Tel Aviv is a complete mess. Former skyrises have all but collapsed under frequent and direct attacks, and the streets are almost impossible to navigate as rubble piles higher and higher.
Movement using a suit is fairly easy and the rubble is easily navigable with an alien-space-magic super suit, but this would be an impossible place for anyone else to try and hold or defend.
The city is shredding to pieces.
It looks like the Puppets are willing to use every last man or woman they have to stop you.

The separation between Crucible and University is... bizarrely implemented. While you would have thought that the sections were arbitrary, it appears as though a lot of the buildings are more heavily armored in the Crucible than they are in the University sector.
It's almost a perfect split between unarmored and armored buildings. The additions are small, but...
Something detects you. You look up, seeing a cadre of suits. They've noticed you... but it looks like an attack formation. They were probably coming this way anyway, but they notice you and decide to take some early pot-shots.

Within moments, there is a host of detonations in the Crucible sector, and Ivan reports a large number of hostiles killed. Taking the opportunity, you make it right to the border of Residential and the Furnace.
Upon entering along the blown-out highway, the area immediately seems...

The highway seems weaker, the concrete is more sandy and weak. Asphalt on the road almost seems semi-fluid... rubbery. Looking over from the highway, the arena comes into view, pristine and untouched.
From it, an odd blackish substance seems to be either leaking or... growing? From the blackish, inky substance is a lighter grey material, which wraps upwards around destroyed structures. Twisted rebar and chunks of concrete neaby also seem to have this grey material. It's... organic. Sensors pick up that it is some type of carbon substance, so it's organic somehow. At the same time, it pulsates and (while static) appears to be wrapping in and around the area. There are no suits in here, which is odd...
You could have sworn that there would have been baddies in the ONE PLACE that the VP needed to defend.
Tim's sensors report nothing... looks like the VP were making a massive move to the University sector in order to clear out the elite team coming to fuck shit up. How's that for luck?
The objective isn't very far off, now. One well placed bombardment and things will surely be destroyed.
It's time to end these fuckers.

That's exactly it, though. There isn't anything wrong with your suit systems... not really. Your suit has been reprogrammed entirely. Even the "backup" has been changed. Whatever did this has to be a pretty good goddamn Hacker.

You can probably rip apart the specific stuff which appears to remotely control your suit. There's not much you can do in the time you have for certain kill-action protocols, but you can get your suit back.

The Hacker superfort, promptly angered by Cultist's fantastic attack, begins to infiltrate the systems of every suit. Unfortunately, Tim couldn't reprogram the suit enough to stop certain protocols.
Your suit shuts down in certain ways, and uses your suit as a host to spread that shit to everyone else in your squad. It targets certain functions... picking apart the suits while suits move up.
Turtle notices his suit as well, having been connected to Tim as part of his squad, has also been infected.

As you do, you are enveloped by a wave of pulsing white energy, fired from the superfort in the distance.
Enough of the weapons connect to do damage, but as Cultist is hit by the massive blast of energy, the arena lights up as the energy wepaons react to the sludge-like material.
The grey substance detonates the second the energy weapons hit, rolling up through the area and tearing apart builds and roads alike.
However, as the energy detonates at the arena, there is a bright glow as the black substance takes in the energy, beginning to glow itself with an ever-lightening shade of grey. The material becomes more fluid, and the equipment at the center of the stadium begins to liquidate as well.
It is a peaceful silence in the moments before the energy is released once again.
The lightening substance finally expands, and then detonates.
As the pilots cross over the Mediterranean, AC grunts watch as a bright flash envelops the skies. Long distance optics show the arena being the source of the detonation... but it isn't an outward explosion.
Blinding, scalding light emanates from the center of the arena, shooting into the sky and completely blocking out anything else like sun of its own.
AC and Moqaddas pilots at a Cairo outpost become confused as the night sky turns bright, and a new day comes faster than had been anticipated.
The citizens of a rebuilding Mecca, as well as the Moqaddas pilots guarding them, watch as the horizon shows a sunset... one apparently working its way backwards. It is sunrise, but not of natural origin.
In moments, the citizens drop, knowing full well that it might be a sign of judgement day - a time of horrible loss, but a time of peace.
The pilots responsible listen on COMMS, checking to see the damage that their actions may have caused.
To their surprise, they hear the various pilots unable to evacuate Israel reporting a brilliant, but ultimately unthreatening flash of light in the sky.
COMMS light up, but suddenly...
Drop out.
In a moment's notice, power levels on suits worldwide take a significant hit.
Pilots screaming across the Mediterranean wobble slightly, thrown off by a spontaneous power drain.
The citizens of Cairo watch as the AC and Moqaddas pilots watching over them drop to their knees, as their suits begin to unwind slowly, and then regain power.
Mecca witnesses a sunset, but the Moqaddas pilots within it are sightless, if only for a moment.
From space, the world sees a single flash in the Mediterranean area.
Not bright enough to blind, nor bright enough to carry far, but bright enough to be seen.
Bright enough for the Vannai, in their infinite wisdom, to see the final failure of their plans on Earth.
Bright enough to show a lingering spirit in humanity. A resolve shining brighter than ever.
There is a peace, for a moment.
COMMS eventually come back.
Factions eventually figure out their next move.
Pilots prepare for their next mission.
The world continues to turn.
But in that moment, in that brilliant flash -
No matter how rushed it may have seemed in the moment -
All actions, all missions, the entire year and three quarters spent building to this moment-
The rush couldn't have come faster.
Humanity smiles, for it has finally won back Earth.
