How am I going to play this campaign, noob DND player btw. What should I specialise in?
Bear in mind my bard is basically the guitarist from fury road in appearance

That's plenty likely. I've got a 4 in my current campaign. Another player had two 4s (but it was too sad, so I (I was DM at the time) let them reroll one of them).

You should have made them keep the 4s and build it into their character. Make their back story more interesting and play into the game; Soldier with one to many hits to the head but still as strong as an ox, missing an arm, lame foot, sickly childhood, ect.

Eh the guitarist isn't the worst thing. So long as he isn't screaming witness me(me) while tearing out riffs it should be ok. Provided the character is blind like he is in the movie it would be even more interesting

Allow me to clarify, I am a bard and so therefore the gist of the fresh prince Limerick is my character singing about himself. Also the guitar is basically a magical lute that one of the Wizards I encountered had enchanted to pretty much function as an electric guitar.
Now, here's my traits and such for the backstory:
I am a psychic bard of rock who when exposed to particular stimuli (such as sudden flashes of light(NING) or power chords)goes full on crazy rocking out playing songs that come into my head (personality trait), I will use my pyrokinetic powers to crush those who would threaten me (ideals), my bond is I used to run in a circus as a travelling bard until I decided to use my powers during a performance as a display of ROCK and was forced out of town and my flaw is that I am a compulsive liar about anything and everything, leading me to style myself to people I meet as a God of Rock, using my powers of fire to lend weight to my claims

As far as cantrips, I'd say vicious mockery is a must-have. It isn't that powerful, but can cause slight problems for your enemy on their turn. Also, it is the only bard cantrip that can do damage. Most of the other cantrip options depend on your DM. In some campaigns, social rolls won't come up much, lowering the need for Friends. In others, you might never need to repair an object, making Mending useless. Personally, I'd just pick Prestidigitation because it has some nice roleplay use.
As far as your 1st level spells go,
Cure Wounds - incase something happens to your primary healer. (Alteratively, get Healing Word. It is less effective, but can be cast at a range. Any kind of healing can help up a downed ally, so it can be good for that).
Thunder Wave - does a decent little bit of area damage. It can also push foes off a cliff.
Heroism - Can be some nice buffer health.
Feather Fall - unless another party member already has it. Fall damage is severe and unforgiving. If they do have it, I'd say go with
Bane - If you land Bane on a boss it will make it easier to hit them with vicious mockery every turn. Vicious mockery + Bane basically gives that boss (-1d4) hit chance with disadvantage on all their attacks.
The real hard decision doesn't come until you get the Magical Secrets Feature, which allows you to pick a couple of spells from ANY class. But this is a far ways away, so I wouldn't worry about it for now.
