I'd still take the Reborn with added transmutation magic. The only thing this changes is I might be able to give the world scientific advancements faster because I already know a bunch, and I might specifically try to save a djinn here or there so we'd be friends. But then that djinn point would probably stand in the regular version of that CYOA, it's just that I've never thought of it on my own.

I have ascension, which is oddly non-specific. It lets you pick light and deflection or shadow and something else. I went with light and deflection. I'm not sure what light actually does or why it was worth 3 points. I mostly took it for deflection. I'm assuming light gives me a light (basically holy?) magic attack and that arcane gives me more knowledge and ways to use it. With catalyst giving my the ability to further enhance the spells.
That was the general idea. If light isn't an attack I'd probably pick up fire/lightning and self repair. Has anyone ever asked the creator what ascension does exactly?

Get up close and personal. Enchanted blade meets flurry and stamina on overdrive. Should make quick work of most things. Phoenix will be the Point from which on Strange and Dragon wil be my targets. mostly because the resurrection gives me room for a mistake once in a while. Strange shouldn't be a problem, since Indomitable is here. The Dragon is the real horror. Get a party together and learn, keep a Phoenix soul in your backhand and try solo. I'm a FUCKING DRAGON. Or any other monster I manage to kill while being a FUCKING DRAGON, since I can store up to 3 souls at once. Not only that, but on the off chance I come across anyone or anything that can challenge a FUCKING DRAGON I can siphon their power while making myself even stronger.
I'm running on the assumption that in dragon form my normal body-based skills are inactive. I gain "the full power and size of the monster", so my normal toughness or strength don't really come into play. Therefor my intelligence is paramount. It's possible the ability to maintain form is dependent on magical ability, so int helps there as well. Other than that I look for any magical or technique-based effects that might aid me in monster form. With Premonition, Sixth Sense, and Telepathy I will be impossible to surprise.
The Glacial and Volcano regions are both heavily elemental-themed, which makes the One With Nature power more effective. At only a level 3 threat it's unlikely I would run across any monsters that would challenge me..
During the Culling I plan to hide out in the wilderness. As I can take the form of a (small) monster, and hunters are not ALLOWED to hunt monsters during the culling, I should be relatively safe and well-disguised. Should anyone find me, there's still the Dragon form option. With my intelligence, Trapping, and the ability to carry large amounts of supplies (pocketing), I should be fine out there.

The consequence is Imprisoned. Adventurers who fall in my dungeon are imprisoned there and bound to my reincarnation crystal. They may only leave if I release them, which would generally require signing a Law contract with me.
The layout is simple. The entrance leads almost imediately to the Arena, where I throw pretty much everything I have at them. I personally appear in the arena via a private door to the Balcony, where I chuck some fireballs at the adventures while they are busy fighting my own minions. If the fight is turning against me, I flee and return to my quarters, where the final test of my dungeon takes place.
After the arena is the courtyard of the lost. This is generally where any imprisoned fallen adventurers will be, as well as perhaps some who are already in my service (minions or via contract). What these adventurers do is up to them. They may beg for aid to release, or they may attempt to curry favor with me by thwarting the adventurers of their own free will.
Next, they come to my private quarters. Here is a modifed version of the mind curse trap (bending the rules a bit, but it should be an interesting challenge). The room is subject to an Aura of Peace. None can directly harm another in this room (or attack their property or forcefully steal from them) so long as the aura is unbroken. Those of exceptionally strong will (for example, berserking), or those with the means of removing a curse, can break the aura. For all others, I now hold the keys to the next two locked doors. One leads to the treasure, the other to the fountain.

Tried to make a CQC min/max type build and as I was typing it up I noticed this guy >>46064219. Needless to say he and I pretty much have a similar idea.
Highest possible Skill level I could achieve with useful abilities with a sprinkle of magic, Blink to improve on my dodging abilities and with Sixth Sense I'd hopefully be able to avoid most attacks. To make up for my glass cannon nature I would aim to leech a dragon kill to absorb its soul and make myself a little bulkier and from then on its smooth sailing.

My game plan:
First off I'm going use my leftover gold to get more supplies, food, water, arrows, knives, cloths the whole nine yards and go hunting in the underground Ruins. The first few weeks will be devoted to sitting up a cozy and hidden base camp and I'm going to spend a vast majority of my time hunting oozes.
I'm going to hunt ALOT of oozes. Catch them up in binding traps and store them away at my base, later on eventually set up a large arcane empowered binding seal and establish a ooze breeding farm, like I said I need ALOT of oozes. The biggest and strongest oozes I encounter will be killed with arcane enchanted arrows and knife stabs and be absorbed via monster within.
Once I have my ooze farm up and running and have about a few hundred oozes to upwards to a thousand oozes in binding traps. I'm going to put my Bathelor of Science organic chemistry knowledge to good use and make guncotton and some primitive primer. For that I need a bath tub, flasks and jars, a gratuitous amount of shit, piss and organic compost, aluminum/magnesium shavings, sulfur, mercury and gratuitous amount of alcohol and cotton.
Once I have all the guncotton and primer I will ever need, I'm going to the forge to "customize" my knives and arrow heads. Hollowing out the arrow heads with a screw on percussion cap, inserting a thin inverted concaved metal liner packed in with guncotton underneath, then packed to the brim with a thin layer of the primer compound Mercury(II) fulminate, the base of the arrow shaft will have a striking hammer held back with a very simple spring loaded mechanism.
When the arrow is fired and strikes upon a target the spring loaded mechanism lets loose the hammer which strikes the percussion cap (a simple brass cap) which compresses the primer, detonates the gun cotton. The explosive force of pressurized gas focuses the metal liner into a thin needle of liquidize metal.

Which should be of sufficient lethality to kill any none iron mass hunter. The shaped charge arrow heads themselves should provide ample force to at least stagger a iron massed toggled on hunter long enough for me to make a get away.
On to the knives. The handle of all my knives will be hollowed and filled with guncotton and primer with a spring loaded hammer trigger. The knife blades themselves will be locked into the handle via a ball bearing mechanism as shown in the diagram.
In addition to all of this, I will also be creating makeshift landmines and traps with these hollowed shaped charge arrow heads and ballistic knives as well as shrapnel based explosive traps against those overdrive toggled on hunters.
Literally I am going to entrench myself during the culling, using ooze acid to dig tunnels throughout the culling grounds planting binding trapped oozes in tandem to shape charged and shrapnel landmines.
If physical confrontation is unavoidable I am going to plink at them with arcane enchanted shaped charged arrows backed up with charged shot. In close quarter combat, I'm going to spit ooze acid in their faces then pull the trigger on one or two ballistic knives right where the ooze acid made their mark. Then make a hasty getaway, summoning up my soul spirit steed a wurm and tunnel right out of them with my 10 agility/speed.
Killer instinct and All-seeing eye is a necessity, I have a 360 degree vision of my immediate surroundings as well as the ability to track hunters wherever they are at a great distance thanks to the eye's zoom in ability.
I don't plan to be raped or killed during the culling, and I am more then happy to barter and assist those in need. Provided you stay 10 feet away from me at any given time.

I'm re-balancing them. I forgot to update the Power description, but it notes that taking any one power will make you an Earth Bet A-Lister, but if you shore up any power with another power, you'll suddenly be in DC/Marvel league.
Speedster for example, is strong, but not THAT strong. You're barely CW Flash level if that. But throw in Super Strength and you become a DPS monster.

Its a bad diagram, its very similar to a reverse roller delayed blowback action.
You can imagine the entire bolt is attached to the knife and the sockets and grooves are reversed so the rollers slide forward when you detonate the propellant.

While I like it being a bunch of lower cost powers I'm really going to miss the flash style bullshit like arm whirlwinds and running up walls.
To what degree is everything slowed down? Would it be like living in a slomoguys video or is everything faster than that?
