A nameless tribe follows the seasons in search of food, hoping to survive another day. By almost complete happenstance, they find a Paradise; a place where they can survive the whole year round without constant nomadic wandering.

Yes, it's time for another /tg/ CIV thread.

Where did the tribe stop wandering?

Let's do this. The alternative start is in Not!Crete (The Sea One), Not!Yucatan(Don't know) or Not!Peru (Lake in the mountains), and that's gonna be a bit more difficult.

The tribe settled along a river running through a great forest. Food was plentiful, from the fish in the river, to the overfed deer in the woods, to the sweet forage berries that stained their smiling mouths purple-red. They pitched their tents here and the first settlement was founded.

The first settlement of the Harata people was called, in their native tongue, A River Runs Through It, though over time this was shortened to Riverell.

We have seen the deer of the forest. They are fat and well fed. We would do well to learn to better track them and trap them.

I suggest we have our hunters practice their tracking or strive to make nets for trapping and fishing.

Not OP (op should prolly tripfag) but Im guessing production relates to how well and how fast we can produce things such as tools while prosperity would be more related to trade and general quality of life

The Early Harata Civilization was notable for its use of net fishing and spear hunting. Incidentally, nets were also frequently used for trapping and spears for fishing. The combination of these tools proved very efficient for the denizens of Riverell.
