rules ?: I'm making an Inquisition list atm and I'm curious about a shooting phase rule. Looking at the codex, nothing is preventing me from throwing on 2 3-pt storm bolters to my Acolytes for 4 attacks total at 24" range. Checking the shooting rules, though, it says I can only shoot again with a given model with a DIFFERENTLY NAMED weapon.

So I've decided to start a Carcharodons army.
The list I'm running (to begin with) looks something like this:
Tyberos the Red Wake: 190 pts
10 man Assault Terminator squad with thunder hammers and storm shields: 450 pts
Relic Sicaran Battle Tank with lascannon sponsons, dozer blade and Schism of Mars: 225 pts
3 Whirlwinds in a squadron: 195 pts
That's the main part. What I'm currently undecided on is what I'm doing for troops.
I want to have some drop pods with Melta units to hammer down on Turn 1 to clear the way for Tyberos and the Termie squad to deepstrike in at a later time, but I'm unsure as to what I want in the pods. If I bring the standard meltadreddies for 100pts each that's quite inexpensive, and I can use two Scout squads to fill out the troops slots. The other way to go is to use two 10 man Tactical squads, each with one Meltagun per unit, plus one Meltadreddy. That way I can combat squad the tacticals, use the melta squads on vehicles while the other two bolter suads detach and try to inflict some hurt on infantry nearby. But would I really need them if I have 3 whirlwinds in my back line, plus deathwind missile launchers on all the drop pods? Plus Tyberos and his squad are going to utterly mutilate whatever they end up charging.
What do you guys think? Two tactical squads and one dreddy? Or two dreddies and two scout squads?

They have some fast flyers that can drop out units fairly quickly, but a 12-man unit of Warriors won't do much. Immortals with a Cryptek or Lord will fare a lot better at holding anything your flyers go over.
Initiative 2 is awful and you will learn how it feels to be bad at assaults.
On the contrast, Wraiths have more Initiative than they know what to do with and are great at getting into combat and becoming blenders.
Warriors with a independent character and a Ghost Ark are impossible to move.
Your basic guns can wreck any tank. This is not an economical thing and it's often better to shoot at infantry. A massive blob can take down a Chimera, but it'd be better off wiping out a unit of infantry.
Annihilation Barges will make any gunline cry.
Flayed Ones can break hordes open fantastically.
Lychguard can make a very killy Deathstar (big unit of melee FUCKYOU) for your boss.
Deathmarks are a trap.

Formula P3 paints are good, colour range is miniscule though.
Vallejo paints are good, but the Game Colour range is erratic, thicknesses and coverage vary paint to paint in that line. Model Air metallics are good even if you don't own an airbrush.
Army Painter are decent, but their colour range is lacking. They have plenty of coloured spray primers though, and their inks are good shades.
Reaper has a pretty huge selection of paints, but their paints flow weirdly. Metallics are garbage, but the range is good for auxiliaries like flow improver or drying retarder.
Only other one I can think of are Coat D'Arms which are okay I guess? Their metallics are trash and their washes stain like crazy.
Oh, and Warcolours are cheap as chips, but you really do get what you pay for, they don't cover well and particularly poorly over black.

There is no good and cheap acrylic miniature paint. There's SLIGHTLY CHEAPER, but you won't find dirt cheap paint that's not super thick or super watery hobby store garbage.

They were most likely divided in two different codex to split the release of all those models in two sets. There are also tumors that soon an actual singular codex for both will be released, with more robots and a flyer
