Need to make a bard in a 5e sci-fi setting, where bards may only use electronic instruments of some variety (including a mic)
This setting will involve SPACE travel, a few laser based weapons, technomagic and ALL of Unearthed Arcana.
Wat do, /tg/?

Only group near me, I have no choice. Besides, 50/50 shot GM can do some badass stuff with this setup.
IN A WORLD WHERE THE STREGTH OF A BARDS AMP DETERMINES THE STRENGTH OF HIS BEATS, ONE POOR HOBO BARD HAS TO MAKE HIS WAY USING NO AMP AT ALL.
BEHOLD. THE JEW HARP

electric violin. They can look hella space agey and an open space on the side which you could fill with lightsaber
And these ones look like axes

Not only that, you can legit run and play at the same time. Check out Lindsey Stirling, also her music is awesome.

Use a keytar, and make sure it's chrome and has lots of colored lights. Make him as 80s as possible.

Just have a future one of these. Have it cast your spells and everything

So the general consensus is to use either sci-fi cellos or a keyboard, like instrument, correct?
Use this, fuck keytars

>sci-fi cellos
We have electric string instruments today. You can buy them if you want.
>wooden body of the instrument is literally a medieval amplifier.
>the strings are the part responsible for the sound
>take off the wooden body
>hook strings up to a modern amplifier
Electric violins, violas, cellos, basses, etc. have been out for quite a while now. There are a lot of cool designs. I prefer the more minimalist black ones.
