I'm looking for some sort of symbol or logo for a low fantasy "adventurer's lodge". Basically a small cabal of retired soldiers and adventurers who mentor the aspiring youth of a human city.
Anyone know where to find stuff like pic related? It doesn't have to be a strict/historic coat of arms.

Image only semi-related, but you might have some great luck looking for Colleges of Arms by checking the sites for the Society for Creative Anachronism. Every fighter has to design his or her own charge and crest, and there's a huge repository of semi-historically-accurate ones that are sometimes pretty damn good.
