Ulrica, the protagonist basically keeps fucking everything up, keeps changing her objective depending on her emotional whim and she generally acts like a spoiled child. It's like she basically didn't learn anything from her failures in the first two books, she just keeps escalating the situation for the worse and she acts like most of the time everything is always someone elses fault.
I have never disliked a protagonist as much as her in any BL book before and she is not even all that bad in the first two books

The first book is Ulrica learning the ropes of being a vampire and investigating some plot against her bloodline in Nuln. It's a fairly enjoyable read.
The second book is about Ulrica going out in the world on her own and experiencing the hardships of how indifferent the world is to the individual. She ends up in Kislev, makes new friends, makes some mistakes, goes on an adventure and by the book she is supposed to have matured. It's not as good as the first book, but it has its charm and I enjoyed it being set in the capital of Kislev.
In the third book she ends up in the middle of a secret war between vampire bloodlines back in Nuln again. Her vampire nature gets the better off her, she acts most of the time on emotion and makes several mistakes that she ends up regreting. I got kinda fed up with the book and never finished it, so maybe there is a turning point I missed.
