What are some good traditional game webcomics?
>>45970964
First for Order of the Stick.
>>45971017
"good"
>>45971036
In the fact that it has character growth and is over 1 fucking thousand pages long.
>>45971081
It also has a thread every time an update comes out so don't fucking talk about it here
>>45970964
Goblins
>>45971210
No.
>>45970964
8-bit Theatre.
>>45971136
>OP asks for webcomics
>webcomics gets mentioned
>HOW DARE YOU SPEAK OF WEBCOMIC IN THIS THREAD
What.
>>45971257
Yes
>>45970964
>good
>traditional game
>webcomics
pick one
>>45971336
Maybe
>>45970964
Eatatau
TSOLR
Erfworld
Order of the Stick
I liked Keychain of Creation when it was new, though last I heard it was canned.
Darths and Droids is always pretty solid.
>>45970964
Eagle Ordinary is pretty good for a 40k webcomic.
Oglaf is still pretty funny medieval fantasy, but the plot-centric comics seem to be done.
>>45970964
I'm surprised "Will save world for gold" doesn't show up here often honestly. It's better than OOTS and has a better cast
>>45971368
What's TSOLR?
Also, Darths & Droids. Star Wars retold as a tabletop campaign.
>>45971389
Keychain of Creation is pretty solid, but I think the author got some sort of repetitive stress injury and couldn't draw consistently anymore.
>>45970964
Darths & Droids
>>45971389
Wasn't KoC canned a decade ago?
>>45971437
>What's TSOLR?
major infringement of GW intellectual property
The Dreadful is pretty fun, d&d races with an old western setting
>>45971486
Wait really?
>>45970964
Oglaf is pretty gud, and older comics from penny arcade used to be alright (almost everything past 2011 is just SJW shilling though).
>>45971522
I'm pretty sure if you google it, the latest or second latest page will be a brown dude holding up a blue sword and declaring something. I read that page a LONG LONG time ago.
If it's not then it's updated
>>45971522
Yeah, author got tendonitis.
>>45971437
Turn Signals on a Land Raider. It's a classic 40k webcomic.
>>45971594
>>45971630
Oh I knew it was canceled, but I can't recall when.
I'm not finding any dates on the page, so for all I know it has been 10 years and anon is making me feel old.
The Party. It's porn, but pretty quality.
definitely would recommend dungeon master of the rings.
>>45971278
...it's based on the original Final Fantasy, but yeah honestly I have to agree.
>Final Fantasy was blatantly D&D based
Most of the plot is based on-
>party dynamics
>murderhoboing
>Red Mage min-maxing
>Black Mage That-Guying
>Fighter PC Plans™ ...ing
>Thief being Thief
Yeah, that's a D&D game.
>>45971312
>4chan
>>45971368
Erfworld is more of a book now than a webcomic
>>45971522
Pic related is the final strip.
It's been on indefinite hiatus for years.
see >>45971630
Oglaf, be ready for a NSFW perspective on some funny as fantasy things all wrapped up into a really odd package that works. Also updates weekly
>>45974849
>>45970964
>CRTL F
>No K6BD
What the fuck /tg/
>>45974211
He did a few threads here, quest style, only with actual original art and puzzles and shit. This was years ago though.
Nobody's mentioned Rusty and Co.? I swear, it's the most underrated D&D webcomic I know. Regular updates, art that's consistently improved over the years, great humor, and cute girls without the cheesecake.
Also, pic related is anti-paladins done right, in my book.
>>45970964
yafgc.net
Long running, good art, lots of characters.
>>45975269
>yafgc.net
That started up again? nice.
>>45972436
Pretty much
I'm a fan of 3.5 the Grand Line.
>>45974978
Wait really? I never knew he was here. What did he do?
>>45975508
Like I said, years ago. I can't find it on SupTG, but it was centered around a Lunar learning her powers and suffering with amnesia.
Captcha loves trees today, seventh time I've been asked to look for trees.
>>45975693
I actually read a quest of his with that premise, but that was over on tgchan.
>>45975798
I must be getting confused in my oldfagginess, yeah that was the one, just found it's archive.
>>45974884
You're implying that's bad
>>45974950
K6BD is tangentially related to tg the rest of these are pretty directly related. In any case kill six billion demons is a pretty darned good webcomic.
>>45974950
k6bd is not webcomics of traditional game
if anything, it's traditional game of webcomics
>>45975943
you're implying that I am implying
DM of the Rings.
>>45972178
>Fighter can block the ground
>Red Mage uses portable holes as an escape route
Are you sure yuo got PC Plans and Min-Maxing on the right guys?
also thanks for reminding me to read 8BT again.
>>45971278
8-bit theatre really was the pinnacle of webcomics.
>>45976061
Should I take the time to read this?
>>45977032
Honestly, it's pretty meh. If the first ten or so pages don't pull you in, don't slog through it hoping it pays off.
Nodwick was amusing. It could get a bit wordy at times, but overall it was alright.
It's not ongoing anymore though, it ended back in 2013.
>>45976061
DM of the Rings was funny at times, but it was so mean-spirited. That's why I prefer Darths and Droids.
Unsounded is based on role-playing I believe.
>>45979020
I don't know that I'd call it /tg, but if you're not reading Unsounded, you should check it out. It's really good.
>>45970964
Darth and Droids can be a good read, though it does begin to drag a bit once it hits the original trilogy.
OotS
>>45970964
Just read real comics or play /tg/ games, don't encourage the navel-gazing meta wank from people who think /tg/ stuff is your lifestyle.
Go read Berserk or try a new rpg system, read a historical novel or work on that setting you've been putting off for 4 years, but don't set out to give more ad-revenue to the mongoloids who draw stick figures with D&D outfits or cartoon equivalents of the big bang theory.
Drugs & Wires (cyberpunk)
d20something (modern fantasy, concluded)
/tg/ Explained is less of a traditional game webcomic and more of a /tg/ webcomic.
Kill Six Billion Demons
>>45983508
Ribbonsfag is still making them? I thought he got permabanned and decided not to fight it.
>>45971630
Doesn't the author haunt /aco/ now? Could have sworn I saw a KoC thread over there and he was at least conversing with people.
>>45971547
>Everything past 2011 is SJW shilling
I don't understand.
>>45970964
I don't get it
>>45984402
I don't think he was ever permabanned, and he left sometime during nazimod, which was like five years ago. But yeah, he's still making them.
>>45985271
>TFW you realize you've been on this board for over 8 years and still clearly remember the hopeful yet terrified reaction to kittenmod after nazimod got shitcanned
I seriously need to look into getting one of those 'lives' people go on about one of these days.
>>45985513
Nazimod banned me twice...
He was such a tool about it in the banned messages is mostly why I remember.
>>45985513
I know that feel.
>>45987034
>He was such a tool about it in the banned messages is mostly why I remembe
He gave me a three-day ban once over some retarded forum-style roleplay thing for "Fellating a namefag". I mean, yes, I was being a faggoty newfag, but come the fuck on.
>>45970964
Unsounded
>>45979020
That light hearted back cover is a very poor representation of the comic.
>>45984681
He's got aspiderinside him
I'm not really joking very much
>>45987034
And yet some people want him back.
Wobbly model syndrome
>>45975121
I actually just read all of this.
Chorus of the Neverborn and God-Kicking Boot are two very good Exalted comics. The Harry Potter DND comic, the Leaky d20, is decent.
I still say Speak With Monsters by Lore Sjöberg was the best.
Another Gaming Comic (http://agc.deskslave.org/) is pretty good, but I'm not sure if it's updated since 2012.
Also, you need Flash to read it.
