>>
Rolled 18 (1d100)

>>45923014
Never done one of these before.
>>
>>45923211

Then I hope you enjoy your first creation thread then.

>>
>>45923234

>>
Rolled 7 (1d10)

>>45923234
>>45923248
Woops, forgot to roll.
>>
>>45923285
Scavenger - "Feasts only on dead animals or things that inexplicably end up in it's mouth by accident. Doesn't mean it won't strike back."

Rolled 10 (1d10)

>>45923302
>>
>>45923460
Lone Wolf - "The Creature is the last of it's kind and can't reproduce. It ain't happy!"

Perhaps we got a lagendairy aincent beast on our hand here, or it is just the last of it's kind due to other various reasons

6th sense

What major faction has had to deal most with the species? (d100)
Let's make this one being the one that owns the planet this alien is on
>>
Rolled 87 (1d100)

>>45923557
This is looking good so far.
>>
>>45923585
Dark Eldar

Ok scratch that, this can just be a random planet where the DEldar likes to raid
>>
Rolled 32 (1d100)

>>45923592
Agreed.
Rolling for the creature's roll.
Plz no tamed/food/hunted.
Maybe hunted.
>>
What role (generally) does (or did) the species as a whole play? (d100)

Rolled 88 (1d100)

Manage to kill a few of Eldar Aspect Warriors that blindly walked upon its path. They were hard to manage kills, but worth it.

>>45923731
Very impressive for a scavenger.
>>
>>45923686
Maybe its like a heavily armoured beetle or millipede scavenger xeno.
>>
Rolled 3 (1d6)

>>45923731

small...

Do you guys want a re.roll or roll with it?
>>
Rolled 1 (1d2)

>>45923770
1: roll with it
2: reroll
>>
Rolled 1 (1d6)

>>45923770
If we go small it would be hilarious that it killed those Eldar. I'm fine with re-rolling however.
>>
Seems like we are sticking with small. Perhaps small is the size of a human on the planet it lives on or something?

Locomotion (d10)

Rolled 5 (1d10)

>>
>>45923867
Quadruped

Skin/Surface type?(d12)
>>
Rolled 8 (1d12)

>>45923882
>>
What does it have for a 6th sense by the way? Any ideas on that part?

>>45923893
Scales - "Usually cold blooded with scales. Often reptilian in nature."
>>
Ok time to roll 10 d3's for this xeno's attributes
>>
Rolled 1, 3, 2, 3, 3, 2, 1, 3, 1, 1 = 20 (10d3)

>>45923905
Perhaps some sort of psychic sense? Or an infra-red vision?

Rolling.
>>
>>45923882
Maybe some sort of rudimentary telepathy that it uses to detect minds that have just ceased thinking?
>>
>>45923964
Ok so we got the following:
>Strong* +1 Strength
>Heavily Armoured* 4+ armour save
>Resilient +1 Wound

Ok now roll a single d3 for the strenght and wound, that is how many in that that it has
>>
Rolled 3 (1d3)

>>45924015
This is pretty cool so far.
>>
>>45924028
Ok so it has +3 in strength, now roll for how many wounds it get
>>
>>45924015
At this point we've just made a little beetle.
>>
Rolled 1 (1d3)

>>45924042
Rolling.

>>45924047
Nah bro, a super lizard.
>>
>>45924069
So +2 wounds.

Ok, time to roll for the number of Abilities the Creature has (d10)
>>
>>45923971
maybe it senses electrical signals in living things like sharks do? Kinda like infra red vision ability but a totally different sensory organ rather than the eyes.
>>
>>45924088
Is it a bad thing that I've never actually played 40k?
>>
Rolled 5 (1d10)

>>45924088
>>
Rolled 7 (1d10)

>>45924088

>>45924093
This sounds cool, but let's have it not have eyes. Would be cool in my opinion.
>>
>>45924088
Sorry, +1 wounds*

>>45924120
Take 5 abilities for small/medium creatures

Ok, we can roll 5 times on the ability table
Please roll 1 at a time so everyone can have a chance to participate
>1d35

And here is the 1d4chan page for what the various abilites do:
https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Warhammer_40,000/Chapter_Approved/Creature_Feature
>>
>>45924120
>>45924139

I say we take the 7.
>>

Rolled 1 (1d5)

>>45924155
>>
>>45924139
kind of forgot its a scavenger though. maybe it uses to ability to see electrical signals to stalk "prey" that it knows is sick or weak until it dies. Like how wolves target the oldest and sick members of a herd of elk, but instead of hunting them this thing just waits for them to die.
>>
>>45924182

d35, not d5. Git gud Anons

>>45924201

Rolled 29 (1d35)

>>45924381

>>
>>45924403
It's gaping maw, but since it is a small creaute it cannot have it. So re-roll

>>45924421
Regeneration
The creature gains It Will Not Die, in addition if the creature is slain then roll a D6, on a 5+ it will stand back up next turn with one wound remaining, if the test is failed then remove the model as normal.

>1 roll left
>>
>>45924381
this thing must be one scary motherfucker. Probably why we got the "intelligent species ignore this thing" roll

>>45924460
Lure
The creature counts as having Defensive Grenades. In addition if assaulted it always strikes at Initiative 10 for the first round of combat.

Ok that is the entire table. I am going to summarize it's stat line, rules and point costs. So can someone recap the fluff part
>>
>>45924502
The creature in question lives on a highly diverse jungle world, where it mainly feeds corpses. Evidently this creature is the last of its kind, but has seemingly lasted thousands of years due to its regeneration abilities.

The creature seems to be able to navigate in total darkness and without sound, meaning it has extrasensory abilities, possibly able to detect electrical signals.

Although it has a history of clashing with the eldar it is largely left alone due to its horrifically frightening nature.

[unnamed xeno beast] 29p

WS 4

BS 0

S 3

T 6

W 2

I 4

A 1

Ld 10

Sv 4+

Special rules:
Furious Charge

Fear

Enemies fighting the creature suffer -1 Ld.

It Will Not Die (if slain roll 1d6. On a 5+ it remains in game with 1 wound)

Defensive Grenades and always strikes at Initiative 10 for the first round of combat.

Ok, after rounding up all the points I think that 29p is a bit low. But I guess if you want to play with this Xeno it is only going to be in campaigns, kill team and Deathwatch games.
>>
>>45924631
Forgot that is was Quadruped nad counts as being a cavalry unit type
>>
What shall we name this xeno? Does the imperium know about it? What does the local population think of this creature? Are there even a native population on this planet?
>>
I wonder if there are any drawfags/friends that can draw this creature?
>>
>>45924730
Heres a speculative tale of the creature

When the admechanicus arm of the great crusade discovered the forlorn jungle planet of Rilgar 3. They expected to find no human life upon the planet, the cycle of life and death spun at an impossible rate and primordial beasts the size of battle tanks tore through the forests.

The planet was largely ignored and only a small force was left behind to claim the planet. The human culture they discovered placed a great emphasis on death. Establishing vast cemeteries with wide paths connecting them to the jungle. During early translations the mechanics thought the natives believed the souls of the departed merely needed a road to leave this earth.

They could not have been more wrong.

It wasn't long until the mechanicus began conversion of the recently dead populous to servitors, rather than interment in their cemetery. Much to the natives dismay, who explained that the "corpse gods" would not be pleased.

The only remaining imperial records on the world detail the systematic destruction of all mechanics elements not able to escape "a great fauna migration" and choosing instead of falling to the xenos to detonate the fusion reactor of a ship they were repairing.

It seems only one beast survived the blast.
>>
>>45924897
can go into more detail with what I meant by all this if its hard to understand
>>
>>45924897
I like this. And perhaps these creatures are really long lived so the one that alsmot got killed during the time of the great crusaide can still be alive today in 40k
>>
>>45925006
>And perhaps these creatures are really long lived so the one that alsmot got killed during the time of the great crusaide can still be alive today in 40k

thats what I was implying lol, same monster.
>>
>>45924897
I think it'd be better if there's just the one left from in its species thanks to a highlander scenario, and the mecha coudnt deal with it because it target and destroyed servitors faster then they could make them.
>>
>>45925046
I like that to

>well fuck it theres only one left lets just leave
>dont tell anyone about this guys

Forgot to say that the natives called the creatures the "ril" and themselves the "gar" And named the planet after their symbiotic relationship
>>
Perhaps the species in general are small, but this single xeno has lived for so long without any competition so it has grown really big

Nah, let's keep it small.

But extremely deadly.
>>
>>45925328
where is that beast from?
>>
>>45925444
guild wars, its a rot wallow. They eat corpses just like the xeno and look at lot like it (horns, spines, quadrepedal, scaly). Also they know necromancy and are smart af

Entomanthrope centipedes, also known as Werecentipedes.

During a full moon, some unknown number of the people in your town turn into twenty-foot long flesh eating centipedes.
And it's spreading.

Good fucking luck.
