When is it worth taking Yan lo over the other Resurrectionist masters? I honestly can't think of a situation where he'd be my first choice to pick.

I imagine that Yan Lo would do pretty well against Hamelin, but I might be overlooking something. Honestly, I just like his aesthetic (and Chiaki looks like my ex-gf), so I play him because I like to see him on the table.
He suffers from Jack of trades syndrome in a game that favors specialists.
Has anyone tried any of the Penny Dreadful one-shots adventures for TTB? I was planning on using them to introduce the game to new players, but the difficulty level seems to vary a lot. Are there any that come highly recommended?

What are the chances we get new cross-faction masters? The faction chart seems like there should be a gremlin/arcanist and an outcast/arcanist, but there are none. There are models that work well across these factions like Sparks and Johan and other things that seem like that would benefit a cross faction crew, but no master to pull it all together.

What paints would be recommend for getting the Rasputina box done? That's blue looks very unique.

If you're talking about the box art that looks turquoise, so a green/blue mix.
Any colour should do fine.

I use Vallejo, but really any miniature paint will work.
Remember to thin your paints. Malifaux minis are so detailed that it's easy to wash out details with thick paint.

I'm an oldfag player so most of my stuff is metal, but I've had less trouble assembling Yan Lo than the Transmortis box (Student of Steel's fucking foot just doesn't fit). Though the worst shit from Wyrd I've had was the translucent red Bete Noire. It's made of a very brittle plastic, and some parts of it just broke when I tried to cut it from the sprue.

Or Sparks should have been a master. He's got cyborg gremlins and a mechanical pig and he's both a gremlin and a foundry model. Having him be a Dual faction master would have made sense. Or they introduce the master he's the henchman of in book 4.

Defense of Innocence is a good one for a campaign, and I'm liking Northern Aggression so far. The rest are 'true' oneshots and are okay. The best of that bunch is Legacy of Darkness, but the longer-form ones are much stronger.
