Gnolls in a canyon it is.
You are the Gnolls of the Canyon. There are many Gnolls in this Canyon. The Gnoll people are quite violent, and like this. They also favor pack tactics when facing oppositition, with the most cunning and brutal Gnolls leading the packs.
There are rumours that our Canyon is used as a caravan route by another race.
North of us are the Stonefang, a rival Gnoll clan, unfortunately for them, we have primitive weapons and armor.

The clan has decided the inspect the so-called "Caravan Route", whatever that means, and be there things to raid, do so.
A good sized Pack of 20 Cunning and Brutal Gnolls are sent out to go and raid, and raid and plunder they do! A grand prize of a weapons caravan from some other race that weren't Gnolls, and therefore not important, were slain and eaten, unfortunately 3 Gnolls were killed during the raid.

Soon enough, improved shelters are made from the stones and rocks of the canyon, as well as from bones of local creatures and Gnolls. These new shelters are far more safe and comfortable than previous shelters.

The Gnolls set out to raid more caravans, in packs of 20, and raid they do, with clashing weapons, stealthy ambushes, and murderous, monstrous killings, the Gnolls kill the Not Gnolls, and loot the Caravan.
However, the guards of this caravan were far more numerous than the previous one, and better trained, forunately, the Gnolls surprise attacks helped take them out and was crucial in their defeat
The loot gained was tasty foods, and many odd coins of a strange and shiny metal!
