best match was me having Probe on the field, Ghost Quarter, a Lotus Bloom with it's last counter and a Land on T2
opponent was still trying to figure out how I was planning to win and passed the turn into my T3

Is Isochron Scepter doing something in modern? Not a modern player myself but I always loved this design. It never got of the ground when it was printed because of the unusually strong artifact hate in the format caused by Affinity. But since then the cards that made affinity so degenerate have been banned right? So maybe it has a chance now.
I read a lot about Eldrazi being degenerate. Silence on a stick maybe? Possibly turn 1 with something like Simian Spirit guide? Just brainstorming.
