Breaking the staff stops it being a magic item. They can fix the staff but can't fix the magic it had on it before. If the staff were an artifact, it would have violently exploded, destroying the mountaintop and everyone on it.
This comic should've ended about 400 - 500 strips ago.

The Dark One isn't part of the Northern Pantheon, and he likely would have voted for Destruction if he'd been there. He'd get all of the souls of the Goblins which would increase his power and also be able to help design the new world so Goblins aren't as screwed.

He's not part of any Pantheon. There's only three major Pantheons the Elven Pantheon (which is incorporated into the Eastern Pantheon) and some unaffiliated Deities like the Dark One.

You underestimate how much having a Deity from the beginning will help the Goblins. Remember their entire race was originally created just to serve as XP fodder for the other God's Clerics. At the very least that wouldn't be the case in a new world. They'd be able to develop a civilization right from the start.

That's not how it works. You don't get a vote just by virtue of being a god, you get a vote only if the other voters allow you to have a vote.
The other gods don't care about the Dark One and aren't willing to consider it's opinion. That's one of the major conflicts. If the other gods did allow the Dark One a vote, Redcloak and the goblins would never have teamed up with Xyklon, none of the gates holding back the Snarl would have been broken, and there wouldn't actually be much of a story at all.

If the world gets destroyed he would be relocated(along with the elven Gods) to one of the existing pantheons(might have to adopt an asian, assyrian or nordic persona. There was Orkus, but I think that's greco/roman) or he gets his own pantheon, but he has to share it with the other ascended Gods.

The temple was built from the peak of a mountain by high-level elemental stoneshapers. Crashing the wooden airship into it will most likely trash the airship and nothing more. Even if it collapsed the building, that isn't guaranteed to kill some of the highest-level priests in the world (the high priest of each major god will almost inevitably be the highest-level among that god's worshipers).
Besides, it's way too risky even if crashing the airship was guaranteed to level the whole building. Unless you killed every single priest at the exact same moment, the first one to die (or, at the very least, the last one to die) would tip the voting scales to one side or the other. You'd be relying on sheer good luck that a/more Yes-voter(s) died. The absolute least likely to perish would be the Undead one, after all - and that's the most problematic.
