OP you're a faggot.
>Special Attacks grab, pounce, rake (1d6).
So, grab and pounce for my tiger are simple enough to understand - but can someone explain rake to me?
Do I roll a 1d6 to determine how many extra claws she gets? Or is the 1d6 simply another single bout of damage?
>>45290425
Genki guy and depressed girl
>>45290524
A creature with this special attack gains extra natural attacks under certain conditions, typically when it grapples its foe. In addition to the options available to all grapplers, a monster with the rake ability gains two free claw attacks that it can use only against a grappled foe. The bonus and damage caused by these attacks is included in the creature’s description. A monster with the rake ability must begin its turn already grappling to use its rake—it can’t begin a grapple and rake in the same turn.
Next time, read the rules.

+2 to any two stats, probably. Changeling racial traits are pretty terrible outside of a specific type of game. It's not like they'd be stronger than aasimar there or something.
>>45290577
Bonus to a single ability score like Half-Elf/Half-Orc
>>45290577
Probably +2 to a single stat.

No stat bonuses.
They already get shapechange, and if I recall correctly, a complete weapon proficiency including exotic weapons.
Fair trade, I guess.
>>45290577
+2 to a single stat, but they can change which stat whenever they change shape.

No. Changelings got disguise self but can't do clothes, and proficiency in Speak Language.

+2 to Strength or Dexterity, switching between the two to stack with the bonus for whatever they're polymorphed into, and a locked +2 to Charisma

Sexual Dimorphism.
Females get +2 Dex and Cha. -2 Con
Males get +2 Str and Cha. -2 Wis
>>45290731
Okay.
>>45290728
-2 Con? They're not any frailer than a human, and in fact would probably be a bit healthier because Minor Change Shape allows physical changes.

IIRC they're always described as thin/waifish. That'd explain the con penalty.
>>45290821
Yeah that's pretty dumb. Why would they be any weaker in different forms when other races aren't?
+2 Cha and a floating +2 Str or Dex that can be changed whenever they use Minor Change Shape would work fine. No minuses; Minor Change Shape is nowhere near the stuff that humans or aasimar get in abilities, so we can safely homebrew them at that level of power.

+2 Cha, -2 Wis (+2 to Str, Dex or Con when shapechanged)
>>45290995
Because that's objectively shit, fuck off.
>>45290577
Floating +2, like the other races that had no modifiers but do now (humans, half-elves).
>>45290453
Is anything stopping you from just running Pathfinder in a modern setting?
>>45291054
Good taste?
>>45290577
Let them assign a +2/-2 when they change shape, otherwise they're just a very cheap magic item as a race which is not worthwhile. It's not gonna be optimal to frequently change ability scores for most kinds of builds but at least it's SOMETHING.
>>45290929
>IIRC they're always described as thin/waifish.
That's because of the doppelganger blood, though, not because they're actually fragile. Remember, doppelgangers look spindly and frail but have racial +2 Str/Con/Dex.
>>45291054
No stats for vehicles.
Firearm rules is shit.
A big chunk of fantasy classes don't work in a modern setting
Among other things.
>>45291054
Not having classes/feats/etc that feel like modern action movies.
>>45290728
I'm with >>45290779, drop the Con penalty and you've got something.
* Flexible stats (+2 Cha, +2 Int) (2RP)
* Greater Shape Change (6RP)
* Stubborn (2RP)
* Integrated (1RP)
* Gifted Linguist (2RP)
Makes for a totally reasonable 13RP race.
>>45291127
• What rules do you even need for vehicles? Like horses with lots of HP and space? Maneuverability like a flying creature of average speed?
• Scrap firearm rules. Just make guns function identically to melee reach weapons that can also make a special ranged attack so you don't have to be a bunch of sword guys, and you don't waste a ton of the system on a non-melee setting.
• That's solved by the above
• Wing it you baby

>>45291198

>>45291435
Synthesist summoner is a pretty solid class, just focus on a bunch of natural attacks and big Strength, then pick utility spells, and you'll be fine.
It doesn't really work well for that concept, though, since you only get a single form and can only change points around when you level up.

Anything goes: Wondrous items, wands, weapons, armor, alchemical, just things that would be useful for most characters in general.

>>45291588
To answer your question: Snapleaf.

Cleaning dirtied clothing is the big one. If you're an up-and-rising adventurer, it's important to not be covered in blood and mud before you meet the Jarl of Fuckall.

Also, good point on the gloves.
>>45291588

>>45291435
If you can use third party, an Alteration Caster might be up your alley. You can mix and match your traits and just assemble them into your different forms.

Oh wise teeg, I am running an Archanist in an upcoming campaign. We are starting at level one. What do you advise for the first feat and first exploit?
>>45291722
A use-activated prestidigitation item would cost 1000 gp, but wouldn't be limited in uses. I'd rather try and convince the party to spring for one of those.
>>45291588
My single favourite magic item in 3.p is the Travel Cloak:
>This lightweight gray-green cloak protects the wearer against some of the hazards and discomforts of outdoor travel. The wearer resists cold as if affected by an endure elements (cold) spell. Furthermore, the cloak sheds precipitation, keeping dry the area of the body covered by the cloak (head to knees). In addition, three times per day, the wearer can reach into one of the pockets of the cloak and pull out trail rations sufficient to feed himself. From another pocket, the wearer may withdraw a stoppered 1-quart metal flask that produces either pure cool water or sugared hot tea. The flask produces up to two gallons of liquid per day. The flask only refills if placed back in the pocket of the cloak; if separated from the cloak or wearer, it has no magical properties. Finally, when the wearer utters a command word, the travel cloak expands once per day to the size of a one-person tent.
>Caster Level: 5th; Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, endure elements, create food and water, enlarge; Market Price: 1,200 gp; Weight: 1 lb.
>>45291722
>"The Jarl of Fuckall is a rather pompous fellow, who, in seeming (or more likely, willful) ignorance of the obvious issue, will proudly share the etymology of his domain's name and its noble history with any adventurer who attempts to bring it up."

I've been thinking about designing a barbarian archetype that, instead of having rounds of rage, it gains bonuses as it takes damage. /pfg/ what do you think of this? Any suggestions/thoughts?

>>45291268
Could go the standard terran ghost/River Tam/etc. route and be an augmented government agent, part of a secret mental conditioning/psychic training program, gone rogue when you broke the inhibitor chip or hypnosis or whatever the fuck.
Slightly more "near-future dystopia" than "modern fantasy urbanscape" but I think it'd be workable.
>>45290424

Plus, Rage Powers that emulate fleshcrafting.
Yes, that does sound like a sweet archetype.
>>45291927
Maybe give them some scaling DR, or have their thing be "damage absorption" which converts a certain percentage of the damage they would take into points for a pool they can use for their abilities?
>>45291268
Soulknives make for great butlers, handymen, investigators, chefs, and construction workers. Or he can be a gardener.
Basically, be Alfred Pennyworth, if he could conjure tools and weapons from nothing. You do have the Wis enough for it.
Really, if your Wis you can take.just about any number of Profession skills you want
>>45291906
IIRC, there's a simple version of this in 3.5 that's "rage is on whenever below 1/2 hp", no uses limit.
Hm.
What do people think of a Fighter archetype that gets limited access to Rage Powers, but they're always on?
So they get like five total.
Would have to ponder out how to work the 'once per rage' things, but...
Full BAB martial shapeshifting class when?
>>45292337
Meh.
>>45292337
I'm guessing they can be used like maneuvers then. Use, then refresh with a special action if necessary.
Speaking of rage powers, what's everyone's favorites? Could be a particular one, could be a tree, or even a random assortment that works better together than it should.
>>45292436

The characters are as follows:
Aoi Kuronuma, a human-shaped human who loves doing human things, eating human food, and listening to human stories, because of course she is a human. She's a kitsune. The anime kind.Class: Beguiler
Sigurd Oskilson: He is huge, and has huge guts. Shows signs of eventual leadership, if only because he has the buff powers and the patience to put up with Valka's shit. Class: Warder (zweihander sentinel)
Valka Mjollsdottir: A wandering herbalist who loves, in order, the sound of her own voice, the cleverness of her own self, and making the rest of the party vaguely uncomfortable. Is actually a huldra, and literally every possible joke about sticking things in her has already been made. Class: Witch (hedge witch)
Albrecht Leng: Chelaxian human who abandoned the cushy southlands for the LAND OF THE LINNORM KINGS to seek fame and glory. The rest of party may or may not end up hazing the shit out of him. His r20 token is currently a close up of the source picture's ass. Class: Rogue (swashbuckler)
Skadi Eriksdottir: As a witchwolf skinwalker, is the resident awoo but is, sadly, not in possession of the fluffiest tail. Stripped naked and swam a mile from the boat to shore like it weren't no thing. Her main weapons are a throwing shield, cutlass, and sweet tumbling moves. Class: Fighter (myrmidon, viking)

Well, you seem set on tripping, so I won't try to dissuade youeven though plenty of things can't be tripped or at least are very difficult to trip. Zwei Sent + Iron Tortoise (with Sent's YOUR FACE IS A SHIELD feature) is a pretty obvious choice for a tank, complete with taunts, parries, and 4e-style attack penalties if they try to hit someone besides you. Keep the backpack you carry your healer in nice, warm, and comfy, and you should be gold.
>>45293430
As the Fighter's player, it's because I want to make a shield-focused build and Myrmidon is actually enough to stay afloat when compared to the Zweihander Sentinel. Add in the eventual ability to Rage from Viking, and it actually isn't as bad as it sounds.

It's very situational and its only saving grace is that it can function as a team buff. I would run it if my party had lots of mind affecting stuff and we were running into an Elf dungeon or plant dungeon or something.

I figure if I can't trip them, I can still slap them with Armiger's Mark.

remorseless contempt, followed by a train of wizards
Is there anything an war soul can do to regain its psionic focus quickly?
Having to expend your focus to regain your maneuvers seems like a bit much.
Is there anything in Pathfinder that works similar to Nero's Arm from DMC?
>>45293614
Do you know if she's running ertw's beguiler conversion from the paizo boards? I've wanted to play that for a while and would be very interested in hearing how it plays.
How hard is it to make an online character sheet repository that allows multiple sheets for animal companions, eidolons, familiars, etc. Autocomputes rolls on the fly and actively links entries likes spells and feats directly to the d20pfsrd, While also incorporating PoW and Psionics?
I'd actually pay to fund for shit like that.
>>45293650
Psionic Meditation lets you recover it as a move action. If you get Sleeping Goddess Style as well, you can simultaneously recover both psionic focus and a single maneuver as a move action.
>>45293651
Fiendhand warder?

Coupled with low saves (10+4-5+1-2), Akashic shit is going to *Suffer*. Defensive stats are going to scale much faster.

She is, and while I'd personally wait for a couple more combats to give a proper opinion, the outlook so far looks good.
>>45293651
Fiendbound Mauler is a PoWE archetype for Warder that does it pretty well.

Sleeping Goddess it is.

Fiendbound Marauder Warder from Path of War Expanded
That's if you are allowed 3pp. If not, well there's a chain-grab spell a Magus can use and that's it.
>>45293662
Iiiiii think so, but I'm not sure. I've asked the player, though. So far it's played by spamming daze like it's going out of style.
DM here who allows DSP.
I got a player with an unchained monk capable of flurrying 8 hits full action at 5th level.
He wants to slap Linked Striking on his Amulet of Mighty Fists.
Should I be worried?
>>45293681
Awesome, I'll definitely keep following your saga!
>>45293676
Pretty much just the Vizier can get competitive saves since they have abilities to get 11 essence invested, veils that can buff other veils DCs, and the largest essence pool.
Also the Aura seems more for a team buff, like "Yo, we about to enter the forrest of evil Treants and we got a Mesmerist and Fey-Blooded Sorceror, so I'mma bind this crown today"
very niche.
>huldra
>hole in back

>>45293778
Nigga I don't think you appreciate just how angry Huldra get when you mention, gawk, or so much as touch the hole.
They're an entire race of men and women that dedicate their existence to *acting* like humans, touching the hole breaks the *act*, and when that happens they're going to take some serious *act*ions on the person that did it.
>>45293809
Going above to the top of the thread there's a link to the /pfg/ pastebin; you'll want the "Path of War" link to Giant in the Playground, and then the Path of War Archetypes once you're on that page. The Fiendbound Marauder is near the bottom of the google document.

>>45293870
How is he flurrying 6 hits? You are skipping the most important part...
>>45293821
On the plus side of things, if you're not a fucking asshat who points and gawps at everything, and instead quietly and tactfully alert the huldra about it, they might do something nice for you.
>>45293741
Linked Striking is just a great option of Amulet of Many fist, I used it on my natural attack character. Its also a +2 effect so its 16k. So he won't b able to afford it with other items till lvl 7+
Whats his attack bonuses with it? At level 5 my natural attack Egoist was rocking 5 claw attacks at full attack bonus with huge size. 3 claws at 3d6+str, 2 claws at 2d6+str.
How is the monk getting 8? 1 normal, 1 flurry of blows, 1 haste, 1 elbow drop at -5, where are the others from?
>>45293927
My guess is that broken blade stance + spend a ki
>>45293927
TWF + ITWF (we're using the fix'd feat chains houserule)
Elbow Smash
Flying Kick
Good day anons. I've got a bit of a personal conundrum.
So I've been racking my brain on this, but, I feel I really don't understand how one should go about role playing a Bloodrager. I mean sure I get the jist of how the class functions, and I want to make one, but I just can't wrap my head around how one of them might act.
Do any of you have ideas of characters or concepts from other series that might give me a sense of some 'types' of bloodrager characters? Would be much appreciated.
Is becoming a lich necessarily an evil act?
>>45293935
I wonder how >>45293247 's Huldra will react when the reveal is made, and someone either tactfully points it out or gawps.
>>45294049
You need BAB +6 for ITWF.
You can't have both elbow smash and flying kick at lvl 5. Flying kick doesn't give an extra attack, it just lest you move during a normal one.
Elbow smash is at -5 and deals non-lethal.
So that gives use 1 from normal, 1 from TWF, 1 from elbow drop, 1 from flurry, 1 from haste. I'm seeing 5 not 8.
>>45290912
I really must give you a hand for that wonderful gif.
>>45294049
Can't two-weapon fight with Flurry, b0se. Is that your houserule?
>He takes no penalty for using multiple weapons when making a flurry of blows, but he does not gain any additional attacks beyond what's already granted by the flurry for doing so. (He can still gain additional attacks from a high base attack bonus, from this ability, and from haste and similar effects).
>>45292730
Someone sling it up here when it comes out?
>>45294053
Well, thematically, speaking, Bloodrager is kind of an odd duck. It is to sorcs what rangers are to druids, namely, a martial with some minor casting. Unfortunately, it's a bit hard to reconcile the frothing murderbeast from the magic man.
Therefore, I'd recommend focusing the character more on the bloodline. Fiendish? MALICE BOILS IN MY VEINS. Draconic? FIRST THE GOLD, THEN THE BITCHES. Undead? MY PARENTS ARE DEAD, AND THEY STILL PISS ME OFF. Verdant? GET THE FUCK OFF MY LAWN.
>>45294053
>>45294053
First, always play a primalist, exchange one crappy bloodline power for two good rage powers, and take extra rage power feats whenever you don't have a feat your really want, which should be a lot of the time if you 2H weapon + power attack.
Secondly, only learn spells that give you combat buffs.
Take the come and get me rage power as soon as you can and the combat reflexes feat with it so you can rage on everything.
Also, cast THE FUCK out of Monstrous Physique
>>45293535
Hey Elric, have you revealed this awesome discipline on GitP yet, or did we get the first preview taste?
>>45294117
Can't take Extra Rage Power with Primalist, they don't actually have the Rage Power class ability
>This ability does not count as the rage power class feature for determining feat prerequisites and other requirements.
>>45294085
Yeah, its 6th level, my bad.
>>45294093
Aw shit. I missed that.
Gonna have to tell him the error.
Has anyone used the Fungal Graft crafting rules? How did you go about setting the DCs? What about arbitrating what effects they could/couldn't do?
>>45293870
Yeah, that's an illegal build.
At level 6 his flurry is
+6/+6/+1 (another attack at +1) if he took Elbow Smash
Punishing Kick requires +8 BAB to take. Even if he did have it then you realize it's not an additional attack right? At level 8 he'd have 5 attacks including elephant stomp, not 6.
>>45294053
Have you tried reading the "meet the Iconics" blog for the Bloodrager?
Also, a more classical example of a Bloodrager from literature would be Rand Al'Thor from the Wheel of Time series.
Overall, the theme is your a warrior who reaches his peak fighting power whilst entering a trance, much like a normal berserker. Howeve, the innate Magic within your blood sings forth when you rage, allowing you to learn how to access its power whilst in your combat trance
Basically, you can take back stories and characteristics from both Sorcerers and Barbarians, and meld them together.
>>45294064
Ignoring the 'undead are always evil' bull, the actions necessary to become a lich are generally vile, evil and require trafficking with fiends and evil powers.
>>45294064
This is entirely setting dependent (e.g., baelnorns from Eberron).
>>45294163
I know they published a ritual where you can sacrifice 20 other people to lower the spell level down to 6th and become a lich. Looked pretty neat.
>>45294064
Well, yes, that's the entire fucking point. The process of becoming a lich literally is a series of ridiculously excessive, expensive horribly evil acts.
>>45294173
Don't give such a faggy answer. You know perfectly well 90%+ of liches are the standard edgelord type and he didn't specify an exception.
>Floating +2

Not if you rolled a Dread Necromancer in 3.5-strong, independent base class that don't need no divine focus. The leveling process is a slow, automatic transition to lichdom, completing at level 20. Plus, no alignment lock, so you can LG undead and fuck with every paladin for miles around.
Sure, just about any spellcaster can make an evil pact, sacrifice a dozen innocents, and tear out their soul and put it in a box, but you can get that sweet, sweet immortality without doing jack shit to or for ANYONE.
Ah, 3.5, you were a terrible, terrible system.

>>45294135
So if he flurries he gets 2 base attacks, 1 bonus from flurry, 1 elbow drop, 1 from haste. So 5.
At +6/+6/+6/+1/+1
If he doesn't flurry and uses TWF and ITWF with haste he gets 4 attacks.
+6/+6/+1/+1

>>45294324
Just go "I want to play X class from Advanced Player's Guide...but since you don't allow it, guess I'll make a wizard." Rinse and repeat every other campaign (And don't go full op on the tier 3s you'd be playing in every odd campaign) until he allows all the books you want.
The two PCs have lost a battle against VELGAAS, MINDS IN THE DARK, a sahkil (Bestiary 5) tormentor, a highly advanced kimenhul.
Fortunately, they conceded the battle (a house rule that lets the party give up a battle early, rather than fighting to the end, in exchange for lightened consequences), so their fate will not be as bad as it could have been.
In the short time they have spent as slaves, one of them has managed to penetrate Velgaas's normally impregnable defenses and successfully intimidate the sahkil tormentor. Velgaas is now "promoting them to more serious duties."
What could those "serious duties" be? Bear in mind that this is a goofy anime game, and during the battle, the other PC had managed to alter Velgaas's form into that of a little girl (picture is what it previously looked like).
>>45294202
Human and Half-Elf can get Scarred Witch Doctor too.
Dwarf get better sacred tattoo, similar trait to boost it and a feat to boost it even further. They also get Darkvision and +CON and +WIS are useful for every class.
