What would people think of giving Dragon Queen a boss sheet?
I know she's already one of the rewards, but I think it's bit of a waste to not give her actual stats and info now that bosses are a thing. Especially since it would make sense for the knight to face her at some point even if he didn't rescue all the Dragon Princesses (infact, if you slew them I'd bet she'd get mad and come after you). Having her automaticallt join you if you save all DPs still works as a reward, but I think there should be an option to fight her even if you didn't.

At the time of her creation, it was me hanging out with some buddies playing the game. DM asked me to make her into one, so I did. Made it fun for our group. Also, Dark Cultist Companion in Gen III does the exact same thing. So, yeah, they're probably imbalanced. Kind of why its brought up that we should reorganize the Fan Princesses into their own gen.

Cultist is worded so that he gives you two extra seats, but only when he's in the wagon (in which case he's taking a seat). My idea was that if you take him you can rescue one more princess than normally since instead of rescuing 4 princesses you can rescue 5 and the cultist. Wording is a bit awkward, though. On hindsight, should have just written "lets you rescue one extra princess".
Companion abilities I think can be more powerful or specialized than princess ones, I think, as the ability is pretty much the point of the companion, while princesses in most gens have more than one effect to choose from, plus the lust bonus and the waifu potential (well, some of them are also good waifus/husbandos/bros, but the cultist is none of those).

Lust/love versions of spells are this gen's equivalent of classes, minions, and idols. It'll be based on which you max first for the current princesses, what the old gens have doesn't matter.

I'm not sure I like the idea of getting the spell after maxing out the pricness's lust/love, because I see it having two problems.
1) There are multiple princesses that start out with maxed lust or love. With those, you would immediately get one spell with no way of getting the other. Or if a princess is one bar away from max value on one stats and has 0 bars on another, should the reward that takes more work be more powerful for balance reasons?
2) While it's never been established how long it takes to raise the lust or love stat it's generally been implied to take a fairly long time, especially if the princess has a low score on the stat. Making you max out the stat before getitng the spell would mean it could take a long time before you actually get any reward. Besides, you already have the lust bonus as a reward for maxing out lust (although there is no similar reward for maxing out love).

See, in gen 3 the minions had other uses than just the wealth/power bonus, even if they didn't have direct rules for them. The wealth/power bonues was just one specific utility you got out of them depending on which stats you ahd higher, so being limited to always getting the same type wasn't a big deal.
With the spells, since all you get is one of the two spells always getting the love or lust spell with no ability to choose would be kind of boring.
Tbh I think the best way would be to just let you choose which spell you take. Maybe make one spell scale with lust and another with love, if we want to tie them to the stats (like a shielding spell whose power grows the more the princess loves you, or a flame spell that burns hotter the higher her lust is).

The idea was always to base it off of your total, ala Gen III. However, here is a proposal to solve the issue poster 3 in my quote block brings up. Why not use the lands as replacements for followers? The deed to their associated land takes up a slot, giving you some bonus, while they also come with their love or lust spell?
And for those saying "It's not a kingdom builder", we have gods that give you a wild variety of effects and mundane items that do amazing things. I'm sure we can come up with lands that do interesting things.

Although personally I'd implement lands more like the gods in gen 2, where they didn't take slots. You're not going to stick a land inside your wagon anyway.

I think the kingdom is something you're getting regardless of if you take the land or not. Like with other kingdoms. The lands should probably be specific locations and landmarks because of that, and it'll also be easier to make them unique or interesting and varied.
