What deck are you referring to here? Control in Modern plays fine against storm/bloom/goryo's style all-in combo decks. Ad Nauseam is tough because of instant speed and Pacts. Otherwise you mostly lose to Tron and Bogles and stuff. Linear decks that are hard to interact with but aren't really combos.

I think it would be a good thing if they could drive the price of the format down. I don't want to play collector, if I did I'd play vintage or legacy. But you can't justify a hundred plus dollar prices in a format that's supposed to be in flux. Mythic rarity is the biggest culprit and the worst thing ever done to the game. snapcaster grants a card flashback with a flashbackcost equal to it's mana cost. the mana cost does not exist, so you cannot pay it. cascade allows you to cast a spell without paying it's mana cost, which is fine. the mana cost that does not exist is calculated as 0 for the purpose of the cascade mechanic.

I use either a Legion Iconic deck box or one of these to hold my modern deck + sideboard.
Not too big of a fan of deckboxes that cost more than $10, but the Satin Tower is probably the most durable box that you can get for its price.

The only saving grace that UltraPro has is that it's cheap.
Other than that it's the shittiest everything. No consistency in sleeve sizing, sleeves fall apart, non-sleeve product breaks, the list is long. I find it funny that they have the Wizards contract on merchandise with official art, because that just speaks to how much Wizards doesn't give a fuck about any details including the quality of the peripherals.

I've never owned one myself but I've seen it where the dice compartment just fucks up and falls out and the Ultra Pro silver logo thing just fall off.
The only thing I like about UltraPro are the cheap $2.00 deckboxes. They're cheap and they're the only thing that haven't broken on me (yet). And if they broke, I wouldn't be terribly angry because it cost me nothing.
I wouldn't give a shit about their sleeves breaking either because they're so inexpensive. However, one batch is never the same size as the other batch so you can't even buy the same damn sleeves a year from when you bought the previous ones because they're always miscut. You buy a 100 pack and one set of 50 are miscut from the other 50.
I'm an Engineer, companies fucking solved sizing issues decades ago.

Deprive has a major drawback. You want to cast it on turn 2, but that's when its at its worst. Conditional counters are better in the early game, but hard counters are necessary in the late game.
