Did you said "Count up your sins" when playing?
>>44948634
no but i did keep candy in my hat
>>44947426
When I described my character, the DM thought of her as "the childhood friend" and basically already decided she was his waifu. When it came to actually playing, there was a paladin to took the role of party face and kinda fell into the "main hero role" in terms of the plot. So I just had fun supporting the paladin, playing comic relief (whether I intended to or not), and sucked up to everyone. Granted, my bard was much more of a good guy than LaFou. She actually was adventuring to support her family.
>>44950074
You're a pretty cool guy
>>44950330
>>44950074
Funny you should mention Riders. That's very much what I was going for with my last paladin. Complete with poses and yelling out spell names.
Most fun I had in a game.

>necromancer Uncle
I want to know this story before I die.
>>44952645
It was set on a tropical island resort owned by vampires in the mid 1980s. The group, all supernaturally powered or badass hired guns in their 20s, needed a wizard/caster guy.
I made a 70 year old voodoo creole-accented Uncle.
>Had a PC get me spell components. The spell was already done but I wanted to make a stew.
>Bopped young guns with my cane constantly.

>What I made
Battle Herald, combining Order of the Cockatrice Cavalier with the Exemplar Brawler.
>What the GM saw
Oh great, a member of the Order of the Insufferable Douchebag.
>What I played
A greedy and dishonorable but also helpful, pragmatic, and cheerful hedge-knight looking to rise above his humble origins and work with his newfound buddies to acquire fame, riches, and bitches, in roughly that order.
>>44953390
I thought Uncle's catch phrase was "One more thing!"
Here's mine.
>>44955231
Did you wind up turning on the other vamps going full hunter? Or did you play the most dangerous game constantly and rather incompetently?
>>44947426
Story?
>>44955383
A powerful moron, caused by spending a century or two living in the wilderness due to poorly worded orders from my master.
>mfw those threads are shit because you all just make up what you think the GM saw your character as
I've come to realize this after one of my players posted one of those here.
>>44955557
I'm pretty sure the implication is "What I thought the GM saw", just as "What I made" is "What I thought I made" when you get down to it. It's pretty basic to assume the images are made from the player's perspective and not from some 'absolute truth'.
>>44955726
Or, you know, you could just ask the GM what they think.

Give /tg/ credit for at least mostly using 1 image in each slot unlike reddi...I mean /v/ who posts 10k in each slot for maximum LOL XD screenshots for karma.
Also if you don't have a shit GM it's pretty easy either by the way they treat your character, or simply fucking asking them as to what kind of character they believe you've made lord autism.
I think I went a bit off track with my character, but then it's the dm's fault for changing the focus of the campaign toward mass combat.

I want to play with this group.
One of the more fun characters I've played. The game itself wasn't good, but the players were.
I made a character based on an image I found. He was an antipaladin with the ability to be healed by negative energy. I thought he looked vaguely eastern European, and tried to do a Russian accent. It just sounded like Borat and that overshadowed the entire thing.
The game only lasted about 2.5 sessions. But MAN what a game it was... I will never forget. VOX POPULI
SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS
I was actually the DM of this campaing

A technical pacifist neutral good (GM fiat) drunken master monk from an order that basically believes that drunkenness is a state of closeness to the gods, and tries to achieve enlightenment by having a drink of the local at every tavern across the world.
Was the conscience of the party, adopted a owlbear chickcub after the half-orc barbarian killed it's mother then pretended to be a dwarven diplomat to get the party into a manor to steal a nobles ancient lore tome, which turned into a bloodbath when a DMPC chain crit failed and set the place on fire, inadvertendly spurring anti-dwarven riots and massacres.
>>44947426
Pardon the vertical format, but it was necessary. Long story short, we broke the module and broke it hard. Summoners are pretty broken, unless you're using the Unchained variant.
>>44962129
you made an Ewok-like character that ended up making some form of magitech mech?
>>44966234
I always hear about summoners been OP, but can you actually explain how?
>>44966234
Unchained variant takes a lot of the customisation out. Just play along with the rest of the party.
>>44966393
Action economy and basically getting a customizable fighter as a class feature. And then getting full progression of Summon Monster CHAbonus+3 times a day on top of that.
>>44966449
Damn, the master summoner looked great for my play-style :(

Were they a colorful cast like that of Kelly's Heroes?
played a goblin rogue straight up ripped from Styx, Master of Shadows
GM didnt see the reference for what it was and thought it was some cringey ass fucking edgelord dickass thief with too many knives
What I played was essentially Styx but with a bit more snark and a bad habit of being overly kleptomaniac
if it had an edge and was light, i was bound to throw that shit at someone's face, which happened a few times due to well timed rolls
and then there's this fuckery i made

Honestly, if you have to play a Pathfinder Summoner, go Synthesist.
Despite what Paizotards who know know how Pathfinder works would tell you, it's far weaker than the base Summoner.
Though keep in mind far weaker means you have to choose between being a Fighter or a full spellcaster who's pretending to be a half-caster each turn, instead of being both all the time.
My contribution
>>44968368
And a DM version for a different game, that I felt the DM was upset for us not taking seriously, but if he was he didn't say anything.
>>44968368
System?
>>44966325
Yyyep. Took pretty much the entire campaign collecting parts and raising the various pertinent skills, but it was all worth the moment when my little artifcer burst out of the castle keep and started smashing/blasting the shit out of the invaders.
>>44968536
Started with D&D 4e where the "stand" was kinda tacked on, but currently using DM's homebrew system which took inspiration from 4e and Dungeon World, among other things.
Essentially, my character's primarily a Summoner who's also a spellcasting fencer, and I treat the summon like a Stand(since his summoners as written function nearly identically to Int-focused Stand users)
The Dr. Doom resemblance was because we were short on minis that week, so I ended up using a Dr. Doom Heroclix figure for my character and it kinda stuck.
The centipede monster is my "Stand," and can crawl onto my back and poke it's head and rear out like Doc-Ock arms(thanks to an amazing Craft roll when making a halloween costume).
>>44962129
Well you gotta tell us the system!
Yes, there were home invasions and I did end up antagonizing some beastfolk.

>>44955557
The last one I made that I lost, in that section I put an appropriate image because my DM said "Sure as long as you don't kill everyone".The character was an assassin. He ended up being the only sane party member.
>>44969556
>literally the best way to play a monk.
Not >>44965520 but this is the reason in my games there is no alignment limit on who you can worship, as long as their dogma fits you.
That fabulous gentleman deserves the chance to wrestle with Kord in the after life, no matter how rigid and disciplined his life was.

It was a simple dungeon delving campaign: PCs had to recover an artifact while collecting loot and being heroic (not superman) against simple minded beastfolk as enemies. I didn't plan to add anything morally challenging, but players asked me to make an "actual plot" behind the whole thing.
To give players a broader scope on beastfolks, I added an old lupin NPC that was the questgiver and the inn keeper that the PCs frequented, that was all nice with the characters and became basically their grandpa, something that the players loved as they kept asking me to talk with the wolf instead of focusing on the dungeon. Afterwards they also kept trying to talk with the beastfolk and monsters, something that I don't disapprove, but it took me by surprise and killed most of the game I had in mind.
Long story short (sorta):
>artifact was in possession of the old companion (the cat) of the wolf when they were adventurers
>the artifact made the cat go mad with desire for power
>the artifact was a weapon artifact bound to a prophecy that had to happen so that its whole power could be used
>the cat and the wolf couldn't get along and parted ways
>the cat got obsessed with the artifact and decided to fulfill the prophecy
>he created the dungeon that was to replicate the prophecy's segments while the PCs fulfilled them as they delved
>the wolf didn't know about the dungeon, but he wanted to get the artifact back to destroy it and recover his old friend
>the wolf kept investigating
>when he realized the plan of the cat it was too late and got killed by him, triggering the last bit of the prophecy
>players cry
>cat summons a meteor and tries to destroy the world while his dungeon is supposed to be protected from it
>it's not, the artifact didn't give a shit
>PCs are mad and decide to go and slap the cat's shit
>they kill him, but they can't stop the meteor in time
>>44969926
Sounds wicked, but I gotta ask:
What system/setting did you play? And how did the whole time travel thing come into play? (Unless you included the box because it's bigger on the inside/can go anywhere)
>>44972815
Changeling: The Lost. I played a Spring Court Ogre who looked like pic related without wings and with snakes on his arms. We ended up accidentally making our Motley a metal band called Cold Iron. The van was bigger on the inside, I bought it at a Goblin Market.
