*Please not that this is my first CIV and i am not native English speaker.

80 moons ago the patience from the empire ran out. Your tribe had long been a thorn in their eye. They killed of all the elders and keept the young ones for 80 years on a island where they were not allowed to learn and develop their culture. Now 80 moons have passed by and they believe that you have forgotten all of the secrets. All the wise ones has been killed.

Your tribe is put on boats, and driven to an unknown land. The Empire leaves the your tribe with only enough food to last for a year. However there is one thing they did not know about. One of the elders is alive and was smuggled onboard.

Unfortunately he is on his deathbed and only have enough time to tell about one secret of the past. What do you want him to learn about?

The wise old man tells you about how to threat the earth. You learn about basic agriculture and also the ard. Your tribe goes to work and starts digging in the soil. There are some seeds that the empire left you. After some time you have the first fields ploughed and seeded. Even though its not nearly enough to cover the need, the stock will not decrease as fast.

You decide to explore your area. A group of five men starts walking beyond the green fields that you have become to call home. They do not need to go far. Already a quarter day after they find a lake. A man goes down and takes a zip. Its fresh! You have freshwater. From now on this will be the main water source for your tribe and its also cover a important need. You call this lake Life-lake. You do not see the end of the lake, but thats a mystery for the next time...

You realise that food is starting to get scarce. Knowing that the people know to little about agriculture to make a breaktrough anytime soon you decide to start hunting. You send hunters to get pray around the Life-lake. However since you have non-adequate weapons, the results are not so good as hoped. One person get mauled and the main results are rabbits and other small critters. Although it covers a little of the food demand, you have not solved the problem, only delayed it.

HAPPENING:

A person in the settlement saw something in the horizon. Four people starts to give chase to the mysterious shadow. Will they catch it?

End of first post below this ends in:

1-4: Fail to catch the person
5-8: Gets a glimpse
9 and 0: Managing to catch the shadow.

By the pure luck you see the shadow and starts giving chase. The shadow figure tries running but actually falls down and your people surround it. You are surprised by the figure. A small person with long beard and build like an ox.
"Let go of me heathen!" he screams with a gutteral sound.
"What are you?" one of your tribesmen asks confused?
" I am a dwari of the Clan hammersmith you idiot"
" A what?"
But your tribemen does not get say anything more, the dwari hits the leg of one of your tribesmen and punches the other. He then manages to slip away.

When you come back to your settlement you realise that there are other people here. Are they friendly or foe. Your decisions must now be taken with this information on your mind

Realizing the need for weapons for both protection and food hunting you start looking for ideas and improvements. It does not take long. Already after short time you are starting to make crude knifes out of stone, and knitting them to large branches of trees. Making spears. After short time your tribe starts to get used to the weapon. They know how it works, how to stand to use it efficient and how to defend and attack with it. Your tribe gets more effective at hunting and fishing and your food resources starts to grow. Better yet, you also have one person in the tribe that seems to have a special talent for making the spears. He becomes the first blacksmith for the tribe.

The tribe decides to know more about their area. They send a scout-party to the Life-Lake to find out more. They travel around it and find out that is actually a really big lake. There is a river arm reaching out from the lake to the east. They follow it for a good while until their provision runs out. They see in the horizon what looks like a ruin but does not explore it.

At home, the lack of coordinated planing have made the tribe pick three person out in a council to rule tribe.

A goddess of harvest and fertility perhaps. Starts a festival during harvest period that includes increased procreation.
>>
Realising that the life at Destiny Landing is hard and a fight for survival, the Tribal council decides it is right to yearly festival to celebrate their survival against the empire. The festival called "The dance of our forefathers" is arranged at the harvest season every year. Once a year people relax and procreate. As a results the population growth goes a little faster and people seems a little more attached to their tribe and their forefathers. Guided by their spirit research will also go faster. Sick of the cold, a man in the tribe experiment with lighting a fire inside. After burning down his house he tries again. This time building a stone foundation and a stone pipe to lead the smoke out and to control the fire. The effect is marvelous. The house is warm no matter the temprature outside. The elders notice this and orders other houses to be build the same way. This leads to several advances.

The granary improves, making it more difficult for critters to steal the food and rot away. However the improvement is equalied by the pop.growth.

The need for firewood creates the axe. Although not optimized for battle, it is still a weapon. People starts to enjoy the life more, not fearing the winter so much. The population also goes up.

Happening:
After a little search they ses something strange in the distance. A four legged animal, big as the biggest man with brown fur. It turns out that it is not that dangerous, eating grass for most of the time.

The hunters decide to tell the tribal council about it. One of them speculates if this is what they called a horse in the old empire. He orders the hunters to catch it and bring it back.

It turns out that it is more difficult than thougt. Since agriculture and foodproduction has not seen the opportunites in controlling animals yet, the horse almost manages to get away. It seriously injures two of the hunters before they get control of the beast. They bring it back to to Destiny Landing where they lock it in. Building a new house that accommodate the beast, the basic barn is researched.

A many injuries and a death by falling off, they manage to passify the horse and manages to control it. Soon the first basic horseriders are born.

Destiny Landing have not also found a place where wild horses lives. They have started to pacify them and bring them back, making the expertise in horse riding better and better.

In Destiny Landing the population growth have caused some problems. No longer can the tribal council believe that feuds will be solved by themselves. They establish the first city-guard. Consisting og 50 men.

A young girl is fascinated by the spear, but starts asking herself what if the spear was lesser, could it fly longer? After many tries she makes the first bow, that is soon taken by the Tribal council. Both hunters and some of the city guard adopts the bow as a weapon and soon there are many professional that knows how to use it. Although the hunt for food does not go up, the potential is great.

Some of the riders also starts patroling the area around Destiny Landing, creating a control zone around the city.

Your riders traing with spears and bow seems to pay off. Thanks to the quick reflexes you manage to kill two them even before they can react. However the Svejas are no stranger to combat, they draw up their weapons. Something that looks like a more rafined blade pierce through one of your riders, killing him. Your leaders answer instantly by spidding the Sveja. Another two of them fall for your arrows before the last four decides to retreat. But not before giving one of your guys a serious wound.

The end of the battle:

You lost 1 + 1 serious injured.
They lost five riders. However, you notice that one of the svejas is alive, badly wounded. You decide to try take him back to DL, but it unsure that he will survive the trip.

If next posts end:

1-7: Sveja dies on the way
8-0: Sveja survives the trip.

You arrive back at DL, however the trip was to much for Sveja that at some point back did not survive the trip.

However your blacksmith is very impressed by the weapons you confiscated. And after some research, you find out that it from iron, something that is found not far away. By short time your army has started to adopt the iron sword as their standard weapon.

For the riders, the experience has suited them. From now on the horseriders are being branded as Bloodriders, creating a culture of warriors.

At home, DL is still starting expand, feelind that the city might not be enough, the council allows expansion of their domain.

The feel of a new age is upon all and the tribe adopts a warrior culture.

The expansion of population does not go along with food growth. For now its okay but in near future, there need to adress the problem

With the skigard already being outgrown, people realise its time for a more serious defence around your city. You start building a wall around it. It is not the highest wall or the strongest one, but will keep out intruders and control the flow into the city. If besieged however it need improvements.

As a result, your defence skill goes up, people feel more safe.

Worried about the food situation, your people starts looking into other ways of increasing food production.

You starts using the same field all year around, increasing the food production, not only that, but because the science lever in the village is high you also realises that it is possible to be a fruit farmer. Now the diet also includes things like apples, peaches and perry.

Another person also talks about the possibilites to raise animals for food. However that is with the thought this time. Your food production increases significantly, same with food stock, that again increases the population.

By now, the area around DL is to big to be under direct control, so the patrolmen group is founded.

It was the night when it happened. Nobody saw them coming from the sea. However, when the first scream came, it was to late. For the first time DL was approached by raiders from the ocean. In longboats they came and started plundering and raping and killing.

It could barely get any worse. The defence was caught unprepared and with only a few swordmen actually making up a defence, the raid was a complete sucess.

Food storages was plundred and many women was captured. Some of the enemies was killed, but none captured so we understood when they went.

We lost over 200 people, or food stock was almost emptied. The enemy lost 8 people. However, not al was dark. Our blacksmith noticed the helmet they were wearing and not before long our soldiers were equiped with simple metal helmets.

Another one noticed the sails on the ship. Soon we created our first basic fishing floats.

We promised ourself never to be caught off-guard like we were that night. We started building our defences in the sea. First we built a simple port for our fishing vessels, then we layed down pillars of rock around it, unknown for anyone but us. Thanks to our educated population we also upgraded our boats. They got their baug covered in iron, making them battleboats. We had our first real navy.

Your leaders decide it is time for improvement. Your soldiers are now being drilled in military formations and starts with better and more disiplined routines. As a result their average skils with sword and arrow improves.

Your blacksmith invents the light leather armor for your soldiers, making them better in the field

Your bloodriders invents the saddle, making them more efficient in battle. Spears are replaced by Halberds as a result while the bow gets upgraded to longbows. You are now a force to be reconciled with.

This time it was a slaughter. Their ship on the way in already sank on the stones we sat out. The few that managed to get to land was killed or executed on sight. There was no mercy from us. We took prisoners too. After some merciless torture they explained to us that they come from the island long west. To our disapointment they were not the same that plundered us last time.

We took their longboats and managed to repair three of them enough to make them work.

From their loot we discovered some strange seeds. When planted we found out that they became what is called potatoes.

We were victorius. We killed 75 of them without loosing a single soul.
