But what i can tell you for sure is that i have been talking to some people from my local fab lab and they have told me that in 5 years the 3d printer technology will be so advanced and cheap that it will endanger GW as a whole. you better get ready dude.

And they'll be saying it again in another 5. Maybe next time they'll be right, but as it stands you can buy a resin casting kit for $50 and duplicate anything GW makes cheaper and easier than 3D printing. This still hasn't "killed" GW.

Who buys the various IP rights depends on who thinks they are worth the most money which will probably be someone like hasbro.

i dont know. But we have a 3d printer standing in my uni which prints things out of resin. its so advanced and high quality that you can even tell. So we will see. But what i know is that that tech is getting cheaper and cheaper every day.

Probably nothing. I don't think the IP is worth all that much and the products probably aren't very profitable. Plus by the time Geedubya goes down they'll probably have driven it pretty far into the ground.
They'll intellectual property and production infrastructure will be sold. If GW ever went down it wouldn't take Warhammer or 40k down with itself

GW employs 3D printers for prototyping. It's not a mass production product yet. What >>44812978 is probably talking about is HOME 3d printers that can print 4k HD. Those still cost 5k a piece and take 22 hours to print something.
If you use it every day, it's going to take a year to get your money back. Assuming you have access to detailed 3d renderings.
