I assume magic level is fairly low in this (unless you're an Elf, probably). What's combat like?

All weapons do a base damage and you do more damage based off your body attribute on all 6's rolled. How rolling works is you have a d12 that on 11's is the eye and is worth zero, and on 12's is a Gandalf which is an automatic success. You then roll d6's equal to your skill rating which modify the roll as their pip. In addition all 6's rolled improve the grade of the roll. And yeah pretty much on the lore side as you state.

Combat is my favorite part by far of the system. Essentially you take stances that will either both increase or lower the chance of hitting or being hit. For instance Forward stance causes you to have a flat 6 added to your enemies armour and your armour TN's. Ranged combat works by getting in volleys before the combat and then you must have two players defending you and less then 2 enemies per PC to continue using ranged.

We are a group of 5 people looking for a new member to join our ranks!
We are making a long term group that will see multiple campaigns in its lifetime.
We have rotating DMs so each player must be willing to run a campaign.
We always have 2 games running simultaneously that rotate each week. So one week you play "The under dark Adventures" and the next week its "The Mark of Despair" Than we repeat until a campaign ends.
Each Campaign that is run is voted on by all participating players and the system is usually GMs preference
We currently have 2 pathfinder games running with one expecting to end soon.
