How do I go about representing Angels in-game without making them seem mundane and recognizable?

Hey I have another angel like that. Wonder where the rest of them are.
Several ways.
1. Make them biblical, as your art seems to indicate. Basically 'Good' eldritch abominations.
2. Make them 'normal'. Angels are paragons of light and warriors of blah blah blah its been done. Make Angels just, nice people, possibly with dogmatic beliefs, but for the most part just normal. Give them hobbies and lives outside of praising the Almighty. As strange as it sounds, making them mundane actually saves them from being mundane.

You could have them as they are in Scripture.
Angels can, if they so choose, look like regular people, but it tends to be pretty clear that they aren't human. Not in like a monstrous way, but in a "there's something at work here" kind of way. Bright lights are a good indicator.
The true form of an angel is like the Wizard of Oz and like the God of who created them: great and terrible. Their power is vast, and looking upon their true form is not for the faint of heart. The angels that appeared to the shepherds had to calm them down before they gave their message. "Be not afraid" and all that.
That said, angels do not figure very much in the Bible at all. There are only 3 (perhaps 4) angels whose names we are given and whose roles we know. Some angels are simply "angels" and go unnamed.

Then we get the stuff in Lovecraftian extradimensional beings featured in Ezekiel or Daniel that you are posting and that are seen all the time on /tg/.
I for one do not subscribe to the whole "powers, principalities, dominions" etc hierarchy of angels because there's basically nothing from the text that supports the view that Paul is talking about angels.

Angels are little more than function given form.
If it's a warrior angel, it is little more than destruction made manifest. No mercy, no fear. It's skin is iron, its feathers razors. It may cover its feet with a billowing cloth, but that is all. It needs no armour, it's hands are all the weapons it needs.
A messenger angel is a mouth, surrounded by feathers as a wheel. Eternally moving, eternally speaking. Whenever it has no task, it proclaims the glory of the all-mighty. Holy Holy Holy.
Make them geometric forms.
