Has anyone played this? Does anyone have any opinions? What kind of campaigns have you been apart of? What kind of campaigns would you like to run/be apart of?

If I've never played a tapletop in my life would this be a good jumping in point?

What's it like? I have the book but I don't know much about it. I mentioned it to the guys and they rolled their eyes.

This is exactly what fantasy gaming needs.

I love the idea of a noblebright earthdawn-like game. Just after the vaults have opened and the people are rediscovering a changed world and trying to rebuild the connections of society. Vaults become towns and trade routes develop from the explorations of the adventurers. It would be the time of creation after the time of chaos.
Is there a direct download for the PDF anywhere?

I've been planning on running an Earthdawn game set as the Kaers are opening for awhile now. Every time I get set to go life gets in the way, I lose players or my work goes nuts and I can't devote time to it.
One of the things I was planning on doing was having a "Settlement Phase" where the players would direct the growth of their town and try to make it prosper. The previous Settlement Phase would then provide ongoing plot hooks for the upcoming normal sessions.
