I'm going to move far from home next period and I want to continue my ongoing campaigns. Is Skype valid for roleplaying online? Is there something better?
Skype works great. You'll probably want a virtual tabletop to go with it - Roll20 is easy and popular, though not all that sophisticated.

Roll20, but if you pick your group from someone else than Roll20.

Only roll20.net is valid. Those are the rules.

Abolutely disgusting. Rent a TS3/Mumble/whatever server for about 1€/$ per month and enjoy better quality, convenience and software. We use TS3 in combination with roll20 and that's pretty much the best you can currently get, short of an actual room with an actual table.

Remember, push to talk is your friend
Discord is also good and free, and as some have mentioned, a virtual table top like is good too.

Tabletop simulator or Maptools are also good, but requires more DM work

These. To FIND a group use Roll20, Mythweavers or the gamefinder thread, ideally you'll manage to poach the good people from the campaigns you enter.

Or friends, if possible.

OP already said he has campaigns, so presumably he's got friends. There is no need to be cheeky.
