Okay civ bros. Lets create a brand new civ.
Basic questions:
Is this civ engineered like golems, or did it evolve like man, or some other perspective...
What are unique challenges and assets for this group?
Does this civ exist alongside traditional fantasy races?
My thoughts... A parasitic race could be cool if kept apart from vampires. I like alternative food supplys or new requirements for survival. Maybe a mutual symbiotic race created by a god qith really cool lore. Like'when the lord of the rift realized that an orc man had fallen in love with a gnome woman, he took action to protect them from their respective races fury. The Saemtium and Cyroil races were created, adapted from the first twos genetic code. The Cyroil are a ethereal being with an ambigous shape. The Saemtium are pale beings of an earthen make. They can be shaped by the cyroil beings. In turn, cyroil gain their sustenance though the consumption of the saemtium

So some thoughts...
What if intead of a castle person it was a turtle city like civ, and functioned as playable setting. Either auquatic turtle, or land tortoise. The creature naturall attracts other creatures to come and live on its shell. The creature grows to accomodate the civ at a reasonable pace, and the more creatures it houses it gains different buffs or maybe even more intellegence. Unique challenges would be food gathering/harvesting and wars with both stationary and other massive creature civs, not to mention decisions and diplomacy involving both the civ, and its base of operations.
