I'm about to play Dungeons&Dragons for the first time, we are going with 4th edition. The group lack a leader class so I made a warlord, the dragonborn race seems to fit pretty well both with the class and with what the group needs so I went with it. Them I look for some image to use as avatar and look! 1d4chan have a dragonborn page! Maybe the guys from tg have some nice dragonborn images I can use. I found some nice images but not ones I can use...

Well, this is a group of newbies and seems like they are not very familiar with the vast amount of dragon porn. Becoming a dragonborn meant something in 3.5e. Devoting your adventuring life to a greater cause, rather than becoming the lizard guy with a breath attack, and a dragon fetish(Like 3.5 dragonborn are any better with that fetishit)
What I'm saying is, 3.5 dragonborn had hooks, 4e(forgotten realms) boiled them down to a bog standard race.

Reading a bit more and warforged sounds pretty cool. Specially to see the other players reaction when they see a fucking robot is a medieval fantasy game. I will try that if we ever get to make a new game or for some reason I have to discard this first character. Not sure how far this game will go as it is a test game and everybody is inexperienced.

I think 5th edition has them squarely as the strangest and least fleshed out class for both background and rules. You get +2 strength and a breath weapon plus resistance of that breath weapons type. That its for rules, no claws, you can't see in the dark, don't have scaly armor skin and you have no tricky weapon, armor or feat options. Very bland set of rules
