Their rich adoptive father was in posession of a cool magical crystal that shoots bolts of pure knowlege and makes people know what wrong they did.
After they killed the barbarians, they took the warchiefs axe, inserted the gem into the axe, and whenever they strike an enemy there is a chance the bad guy will see the true way.
Also: every enemy they slay feels deeply sorry for what he did afterwards, this means that she can kill anyone and never have to feel sorry for it, because in the end she granted them enlightenment, which sue already has because they were so close to the gem when they grew up.
They also stole the barbarians armor, and with the help of the magical scroll they found in the ashes of her hometown they turned these armors into skimpy full plate armor, which is protecting the wearer by binding into their soul and seeking the enlightenment in them. Only the enlightened ones can achieve all the advantages from the armor, and receive a buff to casting spells too, because fuck it.

Yeah, you're right. Though "found an axe" is a bit too mundane. Maybe throw in the gods bestowing a great destiny upon Sue and handing out some weird weapon along with it. Something like the transforming machine gun scythe from RWBY
We also need a familiar. A dragon dragon is a good start, but not special enough.
We can cross it with something and make shit like a thunder dragon unicorn, which is also a vampire. It is sworn to Sue, because when a bunch of paladins wanted to purge this unholy abomination, Sue came to it's rescue.
The Thdrgunicvamp is able to take human form, and whenever Sue struggles with xir sex addiction, it takes the burden of fucking. Now that obviously leads to the familiar to fall in love with Sue, the sex is just that great.

Despite his emotional imbalance, Kylo Ren was extremely well-written. He was hurt at some point and sought power to overcome pain. He hates being evil and tries everything not to torture or kill people if possible but also pushes himself to inflict and take pain more just to gain more power. He loses his patience with himself and therefore everyone around him. After taking a FUCKYOU bolt to the arm with a bowcaster (which might as well have been a Death Star laser holy fuck), he just takes a knee, pounds out the pain and walks it off.
Probably the most defining moment of Kylo was when he saw exactly what Fin was doing as a Stormtrooper of Jakku but chose not to do anything about it.

It's a strange dynamic, really.
Early seasons had Mordecai being reasonable while Rigby was the unreasonable prick who got them into trouble.
Then Mordecai broke up with Margaret. And then fucked things up with CJ. And then with Margaret again.
Asshat was ultra-hesitant about kissing Margaret that they literally needed to make the Friendzone a threat at one point, and after getting dumped, that became the plot point of another episode.
Meanwhile, Rigby's managed to have some actually stable relationship with Eileen and manages to be a bit more reasonable.
