SUMMARY
The Supreme God creates a network of floating islands and Humans to inhabit them, he then tasks his Angels (Loa) to watch over them. Left to their own devices, some Loa become Gods in practice, competing with each other for control. Supreme God gets angry and casts these Loa out as Demons, creating prison for them (Hell). Over time, many Demons escape, taking control of the Clans once more. A very few Clans remain ruled by Angelic Loa, with most controlled by evil, petty Demons.

Humans can invoke Loa or Demons for power. Loa are agents of the Divine, whereas
Demons are manifestations of the cruelty of Nature. Followers of Loa are called Priests and use Divine Spells. Followers of Demons are called Shamans and tap into Elemental Magic.

Resources are scare, so most Clans are nomadic, relying on the trade of raw materials and the patronage of settled Clans. Travel in the void between the islands is impossible
without the patronage of a Loa or Demon however, so every Clan is forced to bind themselves to a Demon or Loa that acts as the power in the shadows.

So from what I've got I can make this;

The world is mostly made of ocean, there are a few island in the sea but they tend to be either overcrowded or too dangerous to live on. A cataclysm came in the form of a rain of meteor sending big chunk of the land into the sky all ower the world. Using their pagan rituals and awakening ancient elemental spirit, the avians managed to keep these big island in the sky.

The meteor rain reduced the global temperature by punching holes in the ozone layer and brought with them parasites that found on the land and in the sea what they seeked. Now only the avian islands and safe. They enslaved the other lesser races and uses them to expand their island and connect each one together at first, then they discovered that the bottom of their island now revealed contained rare minerals and many useful ressources. Those who did not want to serve them where thrown down into the sea.

This led to the creation of a new civilisation on the sea, mostly human they thrive to survive on the cold ocean searching for safe lands and way to get back on the avian territory. Up in the sky, two avian empire cooperate de facto. They are constantly searching for new island, sending scouts to see what can be tapped. The last civilisation originated with the races that did not make it to the sky. For them the parasites are gifts from higher being and see them as a good thing, trying to convert the ones they come across to their new lifestyle. Some even say they found new abilities when they accepted their gifts.

TL;DR Island in the sky with slavers avian hell bent on industry, vast ocean below with humans and parasited beasts and human who retained their consciousness.

I've made some kind of post-apocalyptic jungle hell where the only way life survives is by symbiotically joining their immortal souls together, governed by an oppressive and rigid imperial system. The ruling class and military elite dines high atop the supertrees where the altitude makes the temperature bearable, and the low-born peasants eke out a meager existence below, where they toil away in the gloomy heat.

The economy is maintained through the barter and trade of symbiotic organisms that help the people survive the harsh realities of their fucked up climate, leading to a situation where the rich are considerably more long-lived and healthy than the poor, for the rich bask in Allah's gift of life.

And even after typing all this, the dominant race of the planet is still fucking slime people/amoebas. Shapechangers, if a liberal interpretation of 'amorphous' is allowed. I can't even.

I have a bunch of dignified atheist demons who don't give a fuck about their origins and probably believe that this creation thing is a hoax. They live in an inferior layer of the world where they harness geothermal energy for whatever it is that they do.

Their race is a common thing and they are know to be good investor and traders in raw ressources. Every so often they go to the surface to sell their things but it seems humanity didn't show up yet and giant ants don't make great customers.

Oddly enough for such a race their legal system is based on the mob rule, and they participate in indescriptible festivals. Apparently all the time since they can't do anything on the surface at least until a few millions years.

Oh yes, this is gonna be fun.

On the world Sahl, the skies heralded the arrival of a great race which is dominated the smaller growing civilizations of this world where water can be extremely precious. The strange creatures some call devils but along came the strangest plant -animal that is herded by many and whose teeth hold magical power that can be harnessed to great works. These teeth of the Sahl as they called are the namesake of world.
The cultivation of the Sahl is the center of the world's economy, for the Sahl are hardy and dangerous but their power and the strange edible sheets they generate feed many and help sustain the devils that rule.

Leagues of cities attempt to control the greater wilds that surround them, struggling against each other. The cities of the Sahl were founded by the Orcs and the arrived demons whose pacts provide the energy needed to heard the Sahl and gather water.

Sahl is a land that is growing, with change coming to threaten the bindings of civilization, no matter how cruel is coming to an era of war and strife. As plotting devils and mystics look to the meteors to show them the signs. Or strike the world and destroy what civilization has sprung up. For Sahl is cratered and bears its scars with many valleys where the Sahl roam free and reach terrifying heights.

Yep that's pretty good.

I put Day of the Trifford in because meteors and at least one symbiotic organism.

The Cosmology is simple, the Devils and Demons came from the heavens with their servants and slaves the Sahl who are needed for their civilization, at the top is Grand Despot of All Meteors who is a force that still rides the skies in his chariot clinging onto the racing meteors.
