Not only that, but even if there is an actual difference between men in general and women in general as far as any stats go, the PCs aren't your average person, so it's not going to matter anyways.

The newest edition of D&D did not assign stat penalties to player races.

Halfling and gnome males should suffer -6 to str, females -8, but that would be a stupid thing to do.
What I'd like to see is rules that base your characters stats off your own.
That way, all of OPs characters would have a -8 to str, -9 tp con, -8 to cha, -4 to int and wis, -6 to dex, a BMI of 48.4, a morbid fear of woman, and restricted to the commoner class.
