Depending on weather you want it to be singular or a member of a species (folklore varies on that part), I'm guessing it would be like a demigod or some kind of Fey since they heavily resemble different kinds of "nature" fairies with their forests and shapechanging and protecting saved spots and junk like that.
Probably not Evil, but certainly not friendly; maybe CN alignment.

Isn't the Leshy a sort of slavic forest god? I read somewhere they protect woods from poachers and pyromaniacs and kill them,but if the leshy sees that youre respectful towards nature it will leave alone or,if you're lost,guide you to safety.
