Pretty damn unlikely actually, considering the sheer biological differences between them and us (20 DNA letters for instance). You're actually LESS likely to get STDs having sex with random animals than you are to get them having sex with random humans. This is because STDs must evolve to fitness within their host, and since hosts almost never have interspecies sex to begin with, this means that there is no benefit associated with having the associated proteins necessary for infecting anything that isn't their usual host.
Remember, STDs and diseases in general RARELY cross the species barrier, it's really hard. Of course when they DO cross the species barrier they can become horrific because there's no resistance, but it's still incredibly unlikely.

Fluff seems to waver on whether or not the Phoenix Lords have a body inside the armour. Sometimes the armour is described as being worn by somebody, with the PL's conciousness taking over the wearer's mind, while sometimes the person who puts on the armour gets vaporized and their soul absorbed into the collective of souls dwelling in it (although why do they even need somebody to put it on then if the armour is walking around without anybody inside just fine I don't know).

IIRC one of the phoenix lords operates without the need for a mortal body (I think it's Maugan Ra?) but the others need to be worn which is why they're always disappearing and going dormant for hundreds or thousands of years until the next hapless sod finds them and puts them on.

Actually, in the Asurmen novel, Asurmen does in fact have nothing inside the armor too. Karandras is a living armor as well (Path of the Warrior Novel).
The only PL who has been described in the novels as having a mortal body animating the armor is in fact Jain Zar (Soul hunter Novel).

Disney's been doing that thing where they're slowly referring to things that happened in the EU in the new comics; mind you, it might not have happened exactly the same way, but the general gist may still remain. That said, obviously all EU after ROTJ is forever non-canon, but things leading up to it? Lots of it may still be canon.
