This is Boruto Quest, a quest set in the universe of Naruto. It is during the generation of Naruto's son, shortly after everyone has graduated from their Genin exam. I haven't kept up with the series beyond the end of the original one, so this one is intended to recapture the feel of that time of Naruto. I will not be incorporating the main show or the Boruto movie's plot into the quest, although some recognizable characters will be present. You play as a 12 year old Genin graduate named Takeshi. You have been assigned a Jounin squad leader named Hanto, and your two squadmates are Kichiro, a young delinquent, and Ai, a strange social outcast of a girl. You are of average skill in most aspects, although your sharp intelligence, and your jack of trades skill set have brought you far. The final portion of the Chunin Exams is underway!

She opens up the chest and arms of her puppet, and two barrels extend from the shoulders. So, she was simply using the drone in the air to cover herself temporarily as she preformed this jutsu. You recognize this technique from the forest. Streams of fire are expelled from the shoulders as she completes her technique. "Great Breakthrough!"
The fire wraps around the explosion of wind, turning into a twisting pillar of hellfire that pierces the center of the arena in a line. It's incredibly fast, and you have to leap to the left despite the distance you've made. It explodes against the wall of the arena, spraying fire everywhere and igniting the tree that had been there. The crowd cheers despite the rising smoke.
Senbon pierce the ground in front of your face, and you place your palm down to try and stand up when one pins it against the ground. You quickly yank it up, but Kagami shouts before you wonder if you're safe.
"There you are! My sensors can highlight the color of your blood against the background! You're MINE!!"
The heels of her armor explode into blue fire as the drone drops, out of power and ammo. She's going to engage you up close, having spotted you.

I'm totally down with this.
We avoid having to get taken down by Boruto or risking serious injury, we demonstrate a clear understanding of mission limits and our capabilities, and we score points with Sand qt. Treat it as "mission complete".
On the other hand, "giving up" even in this fashion is pretty out of character. Plus, her power suit may well be inoperable by that point, so it could be an empty gesture.
Still, if she can fix it up, electrowhip and senbon drone are good anti-toad and anti-clone features. If her armour can take a Rasengan long enough to get some good hits in, she might be a good match-up for Boruto.

Your eyes go wide. There isn't too much time to act, so you put everything on a gamble. Your legs tense up and you lean forward slightly, reaching behind you to draw a single senbon from your pouch. The girl in the armored suit is speeding towards you like a human rocket, tearing up the earth beneath her in a storm.
You focus the chakra in the soles of your feet, and leap backwards just as she approaches you, narrowly avoiding a rocket-boosted punch, blue flames ejecting from her elbow. The wind whips against your face and the back of your head as you fly, aiming carefully as she pursues you at full speed.
Slowing down, she's about to close in on you. Involuntarily, you hold your breath as you flick the single senbon from your hand. You're reminded of the time when you had slain the tiger in the forest with a single kunai, careful aim and patience rewarding you.
Will the same be true today?
She's closing in. She holds her arm close to her chest, and a short, bright blue blade extends from the top of her fist. It hums loudly, glowing bright. She doesn't seem to spot the single senbon, and it pierces the visor just as she swings her chakra blade outwards.
The blade slashes you diagonally, traveling from the top of your right up, up to just under your left nipple, cutting your clothes and your flesh clear open.
You're sent flying back, and you crash against the ground.
You hit the dirt, and you feel lightheaded. Hot red is spilling all over your chest and your body, but even still, in the distance, you can hear screaming. Just barely managing to spin your head over, your slightly blurred vision spots Kagami, standing in her armor, her hands on the helmet. The robot voice is screeching, piercing your ears and keeping it you conscious. "I can't open the helmet!!! Help!! Someone get it out!!!"
She's sobbing, and you guess that you've gotten her eyeball.
You look back towards the sky. Your chest is throbbing in such white hot pain that you can scarcely believe it.
But she's out of an eye.
Slowly, you raise your weak arms up over yourself. You turn your palms over towards yourself, and place them near the edge of the gaping wound. They glow green, and the energy washes over you, slightly soothing.
It drains the minuscule amount of energy that you have left to heal it meagerly. You finish the jutsu just as you're nearly out, and though you're still bleeding, it's not quite as profuse.
You look over again, feeling strength start to return to you. You must have put a bandaid on whatever was really damaged.
Turning on your side, you press a bloody hand against the dirt. Groaning, sweaty and bloody, you cry out as you push yourself up. The crowd is watching, silent.
Kagami opens up the arms of her mech, and yanks out the senbon. She opens up the face and leaps out, covering her eye, crying with the other. Blood is running down her face. "I can't fight. I forfeit."
Udon looks at you, as you stand there. You fall over, passed out.
Udon raises his hand. "Takeshi is the winner."

You notice they're slightly bloody, and wonder if she had to do something more precise to fix your wound completely. The pink-haired woman doesn't look at you. "About twenty minutes. They're waiting for you, you know. You should hurry up."
Quickly jumping from the table, you start to make your way to the door. "Thanks for healing me! Hope I won't be seeing you again too soon, heh!"
She turns. "Takeshi.."
You blink. "Yeah?"
She looks at you for several short moments, and smiles. "Nevermind. Good luck out there."
You bring up your arm, and give her a thumbs up. "Thanks. I'll need it."
Turning on heel, you run out the door and make your way to the arena. You swing open the double doors, and the crowd is cheering madly. The sensation that you feel in your gullet is incomparable to anything that you've ever felt before. For the last time, win or lose, you look up at the arena around you.

This man speaks the truth. Evasion gives him time to spam Shadow Clones, which is an instant loss condition for us.

We can use Hydro Sword if he manages to break away, or use Quick Poison-Load in between exchanges. We need to end this FAST, and that doesn't play to our strengths.
It takes only a second to plant the False Sound Jutsu in him, and you leap to the side in order to evade a strong roundhouse kick. He hits the ground and slides, before leaping at you again with renewed speed. He moves faster than before, intending to catch you this time.
You have no choice but to engage him in hand to hand combat, throwing your arms up to block a rapid series of palm strikes. Ducking under a kick, you respond by throwing a left hook as hard as you can into Boruto's kidney.
Successfully striking him, he unfortunately explodes in a cloud of white smoke. You quickly whip your head around, and see a blue orb flying towards you.
On reaction, you hit the deck. The Vanishing Rasengan that had suddenly appeared before you turned strikes the wall and explodes raining gentle rubble down onto your back. You leap back to your feet and find Boruto in your face, an intimidating glare on his face.

The more dangerous consequence would be that he'd ignore a later forfeit, and have a perfectly good excuse for doing so. Let's face it, you'd want to make sure.

When he's charging us with a Rasengan head on we should use the false forfeit. Remember to hide our face in our arms so he can't see were actually not saying anything.

He's probably got clones hidden all over the place, henged into rubble or hidden underground. He gets hit, he swaps with a clone and makes a new one. We'd have to find and destroy all the clones simultaneously and THEN engage him. That requires the sort of wide-range destructive technique we simply do not have.
It's possible he HASN'T done this, but if he has we might as well go straight to a finisher trick.

His brow furrows. "The fight would be over in a second."
Your own brow furrows, feeling anger bubble up inside you. "Then stop wasting everyone's time and end it!"

He turns his head up for only a brief second to look up at his father, but he whips his head back towards you in a furious glare when he sees his dad sitting completely normal. However, by the he looks back, he has no chance to move away from the three senbon that you'd place in the seal on your wrist.
They all stick out of his chest, three pinpoints of steel. He grips them all and yanks them out, throwing the poisoned weaponry to the ground. You see him grit his teeth, and clench his fists. "I've been poisoned..You dirty bastard!"
