How do we make this more interesting?
>>

Vore magical realm. Adventurers are in a glorified digestive tract and if they hang around for too long they get digested.
>>
>>44551581

Make it a dragon with a dungeon inside it.

Vorefags please go.

Genius Loci are the true way to go. Make the dungeon an actual sapient being with a personality, hopes, dreams, and emotions, but still fundamentally inhuman due to the kind of being they are. Maybe they want to help the party, or hinder them. Maybe they're just bored as fuck and want some entertainment.
>>
Make it a sea monster after the PC's ship was destroyed by it.
>>
>>44551581
The dungeon is alive, and the PCs are sperm cells who are slowly getting tricked into sacrificing themselves to fertilize a dungeon egg cell.

If they do it, little baby dungeons will populate the hills around the village.
>>
Like portal but with less memes.

The dungeon exists due to either some crazy old wizard or due to some long lost society. It MUST test those entering in order to determine their true needs and grant them boons

>>44551756
If you go into a baby dungeon is it CP

Rather than an organism, the dungeon is the mind of a sleeping god.
The monsters that crawl in it are his nightmares, the treasures are his bright and shining dreams. The traps are his insecurities, little worries that suddenly become dangers.
The place shifts with the current of his thoughts. The ground becomes soil or stone or gems or swamp without warning.
>>
>>44551581
Surely you have seen any of the countless of horror films that revolve around a building or ship gaining sentience and going on a killing spree among its visitors. A living dungeon probably woudn't be all that different.

However, if you want some more concrete advice and already have thought of the murderous walls, ceilings and floors that appeared in older editions of D&D and Ultima games, then perhaps consider such things as entire rooms moving around. A door leads the party from one to the next, but when they try to go back again they end up in an entirely different room than the one they originally came from. And so on and so on.

>enter forest cave in search of delicious mushrooms for the town chef
>cave is dense with bioluminescent fungus
>mycelium coats the walls and floor, making everything slick to the touch
>the nauseating spores play tricks on the party's minds, starting with the halflings/dwarves/gnomes
>lightly glowing bats, spiders and rats defend the cavern with their lives
>you're constantly
>deeper into the cave the glow gets stronger and the fumes get dangerously dense
>the smaller a player is, the more often they need to make will saves
>failing makes you start to feel pain on the mushrooms' behalf
>eventually even walking too quickly starts to feel like punches in the gut
>about halfway into the cavern the party starts catching glimpses of humanoids darting around
>suddenly ambushed by pale, glowing halflings covered in tiny mushrooms
>they fight to stun and steal your mushrooms
>hurting the mycelium walls briefly stuns them but attracts even more attention
>deeper into the cave, more reward, worse monsters, maybe a grizzly bear in there somewhere, you get the drill

A lot of trans people hate Steffonknee, because it's less about being trans and more about a fetish lifestyle once you look into it.
>>
>>44551916
This is why it's important to teach your children the difference between a fetish and a lifestyle.

Dungeon in a dragoness>>44551649
Oh, nevermind
>>
The dungeon's mind was made by an enchanter to guard his shit, regulate the traps, feed the beasts and stuff. He died of unrelated adventurer reasons.
But the dungeon is bored. And is actually rather interested in the dungeon delvers by now and roots them on. Unfortunately it can't give hints or disable the traps, but it's really earnest and supportive. After all, with no treasure to guard it's 'programming' can't tell it to guard it any more. Thus it might be free. Or it'll die, it's not sure.

The dungeon has been worshiped as a god for centuries. The puissance thus manifested gave rise to dungeon quasi-elementals. These quasi-elementals maintain and manipulate the dungeon to unknown ends.
>>
>>44551581
The dungeon is an indifferent, nearly sedentary creature the size of a mountain that has become infested with goblins. The goblins irritate the creature to the point that it writes in pain with increasing regularity, sending out earthquake-like tremors. Local villages have tasked you with cleansing the goblins from the creature. However, if you hurt the creature too much in the process it will likely rampage and destroy the countryside.
>>
>>44552231
What kind of powers would a cleric of the dungeon have?

Can the dungeon be lawful good and therefore have paladins?
>>
>>44552404
Once inside the dragoness will actively try to keep them in (in the form of an opposed grapple check way too high for any of them to pass) and even if they get out they'll have to face her again as she tries to shove them back in. They'll have to either convince her to let them out or weaken her enough to force their way out and defeat her. The simplest way to do both would be to give her what she wants and get her off. Now, she's not going to satisfied with just one orgasm (or really any number of them) but each one weakens her making escape and the following battle easier.

Of course no dungeon is without it's dangers, there wouldn't be that many monsters in her, a few oozes at most, the dangers in this one are mostly environmental, some examples would be crushing wall traps that deal subduel damage, slick surfaces and tunnels that will try to pull you deeper into her, pools of juices that give off scents that deal mental ability damage, possibly even her own elemental energies coursing through her body (or the effects of her alt breath weapon if she has one). And each time she's brought to orgasm the whole dungeon clenches and floods with her juices dealing a great deal of subduel damage some mental ability damage making it a race to see if who becomes too weak to continue first, the party or her.

Of course there's treasures in there too, mostly stuff from her hoard that's worked it's way in there, maybe a few large statues that she noticed were rather phallic one day. perhaps an adventurer or a prince or princess who had the misfortune of being near her last time she got horny and found a safe zone. A less material treasure would be the half dragon template, though the party only gets that if they take too long and she decides to find a male dragon for a booty call

2/3
>>
>>44552423
Three things to note
1. While most if not all of the dangers are nonleathal, it would be ill advised to consider it safe, her body seems to be doing it's best to draw them in and if they can't resist it they may find themselves far from where they were, if they wake up at all. In the event of a total party knock out, it might be possible to use that as a prologue for an all dragon campaign helping "mom" go raiding
2. it may seem like her womb is bigger than she is, given she's just big enough to use a human as a dildo given she's a bit of a size queen, it is, it's a mix of her being just that big of a whore and a dragon's magical nature.
3, If they leave while she's satisfied but not weakened enough she'll be more hungry than horny and may try to use the more conventional version of swallow whole then vore dungeon

3/3

And that is my horrible shameful idea
>>
>>44551581

The Dungeon is sentient and has the personality of a cute, hyperactive science nerd girl because the Wizard who designed "Her" to find the Ultimate Adventurers was a dirty, dirty bastard.

She constantly roots for the players while they make their run through her lairs and caverns, and will happily give them as much morale support as she can. She does, afterall, want to be the very best dungeon for the very best party. Sadly, this means she can't cut them any slack, and will generate enormously potent challenges for them at every turn, literally coat the entirety of the dungeon in traps, and will generally find new and horrifying ways to slaughter the players at the drop of a hat.

She's like if the Tomb of Horrors was Yandere.

Suffice it to say no one has ever defeated her. As the players grind their way through the Dungeon, she will begin to break down. See, her only purpose is to find the ultimate party. If she does that, her purpose is fulfilled and the magic that created her will end. When the players defeat her ultimate weapon at the end, she tearfully wishes them well, wonders aloud whether or not she has a soul, and then tells the party she loves them. For being the very, very best.

Of course the players will have the option to save her! What kind of a monster do you take me for? Maybe as a sentient lock or something adorable like that.

Make her a sentient suit of armor, one that can only be taken off after the wearer solves a puzzle lock

The dungeon is a crashed organic ship and the players were drawn by its psychic distress signal. The dungeon crawl was just a setup for a Spelljammer campaign.
