“Can you do it?” you ask your nephew as he slings his long sword over his shoulder.
He nods, face set in grim determination. “I have to.”
That attitude suits him well, you think. Isshin could be like that too sometimes beneath all the goofiness, and you figure that beneath the veneer of teenage dramatics Ichigo is basically the same. It's a good thing. He'll need that determination if he's going to survive against a Captain for more than a few minutes.
“That's the spirit,” you nod. “You're not alone here, so focus on your task and we'll handle the rest.”
Yoruichi hands the young man a carefully-folded tan cloak with a wooden Shihōin crest: you recognize it as the Tentōken.
“This is like the wing you tried to steal from me,” she explains with a playful glare. “You'll need it to save Rukia.”
“Thanks, Yoruichi,” he nods curtly. Your eyes narrow at his familiar tone.
“That's Lady Yoruichi to you, young man,” you growl with a wry grin tugging at your lips. No need to make a threat here: after all no threat holds weight with a man already standing at the gallows.
As the sun rises you feel powerful reiatsu from multiple sources and directions. Above you several Captains have assembled at the Sōkyouku, including Yamamoto, Jūshirō, Shunsui, and Unohana. You can also feel two Captains and their adjutants on the move: Zaraki seems to be heading towards your own barracks, while Hitsugaya and Lieutenant Kano are heading somewhere altogether unexpected. They're taking the street routes towards the Central 46 compound.

It takes only a few minutes or so to catch up with Zaraki, who you find staring down a dead-end road with his Lieutenant on his shoulders.
“Why did you go this way, Kenny?” she protests angrily. “I told you this was a dead end!”
“You told us to go this way, Lieutenant,” Madarame observes. In response Lieutenant Kusajishi clamps her teeth down on his clan-shaven skull.
“What're you four doing here?” Yoruichi asks, palming her forehead.
Zaraki scowls. “I was tryin' ta find Ninth Division... that Third Seat made a deal with me. Said there was a real strong guy he'd let me fight.”
“Lieutenant Amagai, wasn't it?” the one with the fussy hair whose name you can never remember muses. “I always pinned him for the type to hide his strength.”
“You say that like someone with experience,” Yoruichi frowns. “But yeah, I always thought his record in my unit was a little too unremarkable.”

“I have felt this pressure before,” Tenkotsuki replies, manifesting at your side. “I never thought such a thing was possible.”
“What?” Yoruichi demands. “What's going on here?”
“Suzaku...” your zanpakuto explains. “Somehow, the Vermillion Bird itself has been sealed into a zanpakuto, and the Soul Society has been using it as an execution weapon without anyone being the wiser.”
In a moment, it clicks.
“Oetsu!” you hiss. “I can forge anythin' into anythin', those were his exact words!”
“But wasn't that hairy Captain in the pink kimono going to do something about this?” Rosa asks.
“What's Shunsui doing?!” you ask, your voice raising with your sense of impending disaster.
Yoruichi's eyes widen in recognition. “He's gonna destroy the spear... that's what Aizen wanted all along! Fragments of the god Suzaku!"

The Execution Grounds... why did you ever leave them? You're far from the scene of unfolding disaster, but not too far that you can say for sure you can't reach them. But it'll be entirely too close for comfort, and you may just not make it in time at all.
You could also try and call someone at the Execution Grounds to try and prevent Shunsui and Ukitake from destroying the spear, and your mind reels with all the possibilities. Shunsui will be too focused on the mission, Rangiku and Mirai may not be fast enough to act after you explain the situation, and Unohana is too much of a damned Luddite to carry her phone even if she did immediately believe you.
Then, you could admit defeat on that front. You're certain that the next plan of Aizen's is to gather the fragments somehow, and you have not just a Division but several arrancar waiting on your word. By allowing the Sōkyoku to be destroyed, you could get a head start on collecting the pieces before Aizen's plan can move to that next step.

Yoruichi is briefly slowed as she has to crush her way through a tower she can't quite leap over, losing the briefest moment of progress and allowing you to get ahead of her and reach the Sōkyoku hill before her. Although you didn't think it was possible, you feel Yoruichi's reiatsu spike far beyond anything you've ever felt from her as a streak of white lightning blasts over your right shoulder at a spot between Shunsui and Ukitake. The shot from Yoruichi's technique destroys a wood shield they have dug into the dirt between them, leaving just enough time for them to withdraw the swords they had placed against the front of the spiritual tool before the blast catches it right in the center of the Shihōin crest laid into its face.
“Catch!” she roars as she activates her Bankai and slings a weapon after you, which you catch out of the air as the giant firebird uses your arrival as an opportunity to renew its attack on your nephew and the condemned Kuchiki.
In your hand is a short, wide blade that you don't recognize. Knowing Yoruichi and her abilities as intimately as you do you have no doubt it's precisely the tool you need at this exact moment, and so you use it to parry the Sōkyoku's giant beak. You brace the flat of the blade against your left wrist to brace as well against the power you expect from the beast.
To your astonishment the flames that make up its body immediately disperse as the giant weapon seals itself into the form of a glaive and crashes to the ground.
“Captain!?” Rukia cries, astonished at your sudden arrival.
Ichigo grins at you. “Well, you decided to come after all? If you don't mind, I've got some business myself.”

With that, your nephew makes good on his threat and destroys a section of the supposedly-impregnable execution stand with a single thrust of his sword.
By the time any of the assembled Captains realize what's just happened, the sword Yoruichi summoned for you has disappeared once more. The general atmosphere is one of stunned silence until Yamamoto speaks.
"You have interrupted the execution?!" he demands. "And with so many witnesses. I warned you about such measures, did I not? That though I appreciate your position, you must also appreciate mine?"

Ichigo however has other plans, and drops the three Lieutenants effortlessly with a series of punches. Just one blow each is all it takes.
“... I'm so fucking proud right now,” you mutter to Yoruichi, who chuckles softly to herself even as Byakuya engages Ichigo in close combat.
“So, you feel it now too, don't you?” she asks.

Yamamoto glares daggers at you. “What do you mean by that?”
“Aizen has revealed himself,” you reply in a low, dangerous voice. “He's getting ready to fight Captain Hitsugaya and Lieutenant Kano right now.”
“I cannot allow this act to go un-punished,” Yamamoto replies sternly.
Shunsui immediately comes to your rescue. “If someone's gotta be punished, technically it should be us. We were the ones who were gonna destroy the Sōkyoku, so deal with us first.”
Yamamoto considers the point as Shunsui and Ukitake flee the execution grounds, before turning to you.

Yeah. We really don't want to face OMG. We can give him a better fight than most people and can escalate far enough for him to pull out Bankai, but we seriously don't want to.
His Shikai has too much raw fucking force behind it to be readily dealt with, our Shikai and Resurrecion aren't really apt for engaging it. And Bankai vs. Bankai we'd still have a bad time since I imagine it'd still be plenty hot at the blade, and we're nowhere near good enough at zanjutsu to win with that handicap.

After a moment of silence, the Head Captain grumbles something inaudible and disappears. For such an old shinigami, he sure can move quickly when there are whelps to be punished.
“Tenkotsuki,” you mutter. “You know a spell that can get us inside the Central 46 from here?”
“I do,” she responds. “I take it you understand the likely repercussions?”
“I wouldn't be asking if I didn't.”
“Very well,” your sword replies as you hold her blade before you point-down. “Allow me to do the work.”
“Yoruichi,” you sigh, shutting your eyes and letting Tenkotsuki take the reins. “Grab my shoulder and hold on tight.”
You release your grip on the sword, letting it hang suspended before you in the air, and with a clap your palms meet on either side of the blade. The light is so powerful that it seeps in through your eyelids as the spell is completed.
“Kūkanten'i.”
When you arrive in the Central 46 chambers, you slide a pair of sunglasses from your sash over your eyes and open them. Behind you, Yoruichi does the same. Your eyes now see nothing but darkness, but your reiatsu sensing abilities tell you all you need to know: firstly that the Central 46 are all indeed dead.

“Nonsense,” he replies in what you swear is a jovial tone. “That would be far too difficult, even for me. Instead I merely created an identical clone using samples of the Captain's own reiatsu and reigai.”
“A clone?”
“A clone. That is how I fooled Unohana's autopsy procedures... the body that she examined was indeed Aizen's. The clone body is the one his conscience now inhabits.”
"No need to fool anyone if you can present the actual body," Yoruichi muses, her tone betraying the fact that she's legitimately impressed at the deed. "That's the sort of lateral thinking we may have expected had we suspected your involvement. Twisted, but brilliant."
"Oh, stop it!" Kurotsuchi cackles. "You're making me blush!"
"Let's go up to the roof, fight out under the open sun," Aizen suggests. "I have no ulterior motives, it's just that an unseasonable chill doesn't suit such a long-awaited battle as ours."

I've stated fairly explicitly in the past that Gin has been trying to keep Riku as distanced from his dealings with Aizen as possible: that has always included trying to obscure the nature of their relationship.
Even if Aizen DID know or suspect, setting the wheels of his mind turning by scolding Gin like his mother would be just as bad. It's that sort of thing Aizen preys on.
