Most First Edition D&D clones (God only knows how many there are, each of them claiming to be more authentic than the last) generally agree about several traits of the "Elf" class: it can level as either a fighting man or a magic user, it can see in the dark, it has a chance of finding secret doors, and it's immune to ghoul paralysis (lolwat ultra specific ability, never made sense to me). The rest of it, though, they tend to make up some combination of themselves. I've seen elves given bonuses to stealth, or to stealth in forests, or to speed while taking people through forests, or to attacks with swords or bows or both, or to specific saving rolls...
Which combination of traits do you prefer for your FED&D clone elves? Why is your preference the objectively correct one and why is everyone who thinks differently from you literally autistic?

I prefer DEAD elves.

When I play an elf I tend to go full scoia'tael so anything that gives me bonuses to movement or concealment in forests, martial weapons proficiency for the bows and so on is cool. D&D elves do pretty much everything I want by default.

-1 Con is something that has ingrained itself in my brain somehow. So elves can in my book as strong as a human, but a just a bit more frail, skinny. I also like them as the mobile race, meaning they are just faster on foot, can jump higher and have an easier time traversing rough terrain. They bodies should look according to this.
Sophistication is also important to me, whatever this means. May it be that even shitting is a complicated ritual that no mere mortal could even try to comprehend.
I also like it when they are pretty alien in the way they think, speak, laugh, move, to prevent them just being humans with pointy ears.

I'll see what I got. Don't much I fear.

That's it, don't have more.
I see threads like these that come up a lot, so i've done some bullshit research into what an elf means to help myself mostly, but it could be of some use to other anons.
