/tg/, you're a bounty hunter and have been hired by the Empire to kill a former Jedi Knight, and you know everything about Jedi and the Force that the Empire knows. Get a few robots and have a built in mechanism that emits a sudden short, intense burst of radiation. Have them like different types of robots, and just have them nonchalantly get near the jedi (like as serving drinks, just passing by, or repairing something near them or cleaning the floor) and active the mechanism trigger.

Do this a few times, and they'll be dead within a month.

This.

I am not desperate enough, or even half as stupid, as I'd need to be to go after a walking extinction event like Kyle Katarn.

If I was stupid and desperate enough to try and kill that genocidal gentlemen, then it would be in space combat. Where his: light saber, lighting, force choking, mind tricks, small arms, and absurd acrobatics are not a factor. In space Kyle's about as helpless as any other mook in a cockpit.
That said Kyle's got an ace pilot flaying him around the galaxy. Jan Ors is on par with Luke Skywalker for pilot skill, and she's not even force sensitive. So even a space ambush would need to be done with at least a full wing of interceptors.

Get them in a public place with lots of potential collatoral damage, get my droid (it's important that it's a droid because Jedi have a harder time sensing machines than living things) to lob explosives at the Jedi. While the Jedi is distracted neutralizing the bombs, I pick it off with either an ion blaster or a concussion rifle depending on the range. Disruptors or slug throwers work as well, the important part is that it can't be deflected with a lightsaber. Speaking of lightsabers, equip the droid with a shield (like the rollers from the Phantom Menace) and tell it to move in between me and the Jedi as soon as it detects a lightsaber igniting. If you want to be really thorough, plant another bomb on the droid itself, but I think that's a waste of a perfectly good droid and shields don't come cheap either.

Spread rumours that I am on the hunt for them and am using a giant freighter as a disguise, and is basically stationed in a vast space of absolutely nothing, not near any other route or plante
Lure them to the freighter, fake my voice using recordings and the audio system and lead them away from their ship
Steal their ship and fly away
There is no fuel in the freighter since it's been emptied intentionally, and it's been rigged with explosives, no escape pods, basically a rigged cage with no escape in the vast open-ness of nothing
Blow it up, but stay close enough to track any survivors if there are any

Where did I fuck up /tg/

Probably there. Depending on the Jedi they might very well be able to just call their own ship and disable it with the force and/or various techniques such as backdoor techniques.

Also the Jedi might not come alone.
>>
1. Find out where he drinks (if he drinks)
2. Poison his drink with enough poison to kill a krate dragon
3. Hope he passes out
4. If he does, blow up the building he is drinking in

I'm sure Jedi also have some magic "poison doesn't hurt me because it was relevant to the plot for it not to this one time" power but if it fails to knock them out, I can just leave. Odds are they aren't gonna track me down.

Recitation: First, weapon selection is critical. if I see one more idiot attacking a Jedi with a blaster pistol, then I'll kill them myself.
Rhetorical Question: What weapons would I suggest?
Answer: Select grenades, sonic screamers, cluster rockets, and plasma charges. Mines are also effective, since many Jedi will run to meet you in hand to hand combat. Silly Jedi.
Addendum: Gas attacks are effective if you can take the Jedi by surprise. inhalation seems less effective than ones that work on skin contact, as some Jedi seem able to hold their breath for long periods of time.
Cautionary: Still, don't rely on it, since Jedi can fight off the effects, it just distracts them, leaving them open to another avenue of attack.
Recitation: Do not forget to activate any energy shields you possess. Lightsabers, while powerful, have trouble penetrating most military issue energy shields, provided they are energy shields and not those crude Mandalorian Melee shields.

Killing Jedi is simple.

1)Obtain one microwave gun
2)Point microwave gun at Jedi
3)Turn Jedi into goo

The reason why nobody does this in Star Wars is because microwave based weapons would be so fucking OP against infantry it would break the setting.

>The reason why nobody does this in Star Wars is because microwave based weapons would be so fucking OP against infantry it would break the setting
But what if the clone/stormtrooper armor has special science shielding against microwave weapons?

Then again the Geonosian bugs had these sonic weapons which shot a green explosive ball of energy that is supposedly achieve the same thing just in an area effect of rupturing the victom's internal organs by sheer kinetic energy. They cannot be deflected by lightsabers because they just explode on contact with anything. They are also pretty effective against machines.

Then again the since the Disney takeover their canonicity is questionable.

Jedi deflect blaster bolts by combining lightsaber training with small scale predict the future ability (which they directly gain from how experienced they are/how high their midichlorian count is). I see it as overtime their shot at it's like rolling a dice - they might "see" it in time, they might not. In this case, the first blaster shot got past, injured the jedi, rendering him unable to deflect the ones coming after.

Also it's not really possible to be That Good, as no matter where you shoot the jedi always has a chance of predicting it, and moving to deflect it.

You know, as off-topic as this is, I kind of liked the Jedi a lot more when they were something closer to the original trilogy. Of course, we never got to see Jedi masters in their prime or anything, but the image the old movies painted of them was a lot more mortal, a lot more modest. They weren't these mighty demigods who fought through whole hordes of droids and blew up spaceships with their minds. Granted, that's the extreme end of the new trilogy and extended universe as well, but still.

I liked the Jedi more as these clever, honed specialists who had fantastic powers and a great deal of honed discipline and skill, but who were still vulnerable to mortal dangers. In my mind, what made them cool was exactly that balance. A Jedi in the right place at the right time could make all the difference, but that right time and place were really required. I liked the image of these smart, clever, wise warrior-mystics who observed until it was time to act, and then achieved their goals through wit as much as violence.

I guess I just liked Star Wars as a more low-key affair, as a whole. Expanded universe and the new trilogy really changed it all.

Reflexive force push on your ass as soon as you try to start shit. You're not in the closest wall, at least for long enough to allow him to gather his wits. For a jedi, this takes way less than it does for you.
>>
Threaten to blow up a hospital if the Jedi doesn't turn himself in. Have some goons in suicide vests made to look like body armour arrest him. If he tries to resist, blow them up. If he doesn't resist, take his weapons out of force grabbing range and shoot him with a slug thrower.

I though SW slug throwers were gas powered and they didn't have anything as powerful as modern military guns except blasters, which are slow and inaccurate but light weight, possibly nonlethal, and hold a ton of ammo.

Okay, final plan.

1) Threaten to blow up a hospital unless the Jedi turns himself in.
2) Rig a couple of cheap droids with explosives and have them take his weapons, if he doesn't resist. Then have them explode.
3) If he does resist, have one explode while the others slug thrower him to death.
>>

It doesn't seem like they need to put effort into having foresight happen. It seems to just be a 'Jedi do this' thing.
>>

I think it implies that trained users enhance their slashes, and all force users in that movie are complete amateurs in fighting - plus all good light saber fighters are dead.

It could be the crystals too
>>
>Remote-detonated explosives
>Flamethrowers
>Anything that can't be deflected/can be used outside of vocal/force-choke range

All those are well and good, but you have to remember that jedi have the annoying habit of picking up new powers as the plot demands.

So really, the only effective weapon you can use against them is the script. Get a copy of the script, read it - thoroughly - and ensure that you are the protagonist and they are not. Otherwise you're fuckeder than fucked.
>>
>>44462417
You're expecting the Jedi, a master of subterfuge and an agent with a lifetime of training in arts both mystic and mundane, to let you dictate what distance you engage him at. He's behind your back right now, having penetrated your defenses unseen.

Now. You want to lay down your weapons and surrender.

Jedi precog reactions are fast enough to reflect rather slow blaster rounds if there are not to many, they are not fast enough to prevent the fire on the first place of they were they would on the films.

Therefore the pins get pulled and the flashbangs go off.

>>44462541
Of course it's a trap, but one of the defining characteristics of the Jedi is their willingness to do good. I'm not playing the hero here, they are. If they put their own welfare above that of hundreds of innocents, well, are they really Jedi?

This makes me want to play a game where some random Lv.0 mook finds the script and then makes a desperate mad ploy to become the protagonist or something similar so they can stay alive

As for killing Jedi just socially torment them until their fragile egos explode into the next Darth Dongus, the greatest threat to a Jedi is their own sexual frustration and suffocating love for theatrics
>>
>>44462571
>If they put their own welfare above that of hundreds of innocents, well, are they really Jedi?

Depends if they think that you have any chance of holding your end of the bargain. After all, you are an unknown factor that has shown a willingness to kill huge amounts of innocents.

If they think the civilians will die either way, then dying pointlessly won't help.

>Dead Man's Switch. If he wants to try and mind trick me into shit, he'd better be prepared for there to be consequences.

Sorry. Its farseeing not forcesight. Anyway its meditation based using calm of mind to receive strong emotions and imagery. The longer you meditate and the calmer you are the better you get at it and the clearer the picture till your spirit pops out of your body. This is why all jedi fights start with a lul before swings as they feel each others future moves out. Forcesight is more like 360 degrees 20/infinity vision used in conjunction with farseeing.

It would seem all force abilities like this are passive to a very minor degree but can be honed using focus and calming the mind.

Hmm, mind control is always a problem to work around, which is why my plan would have never had me in that situation in the first place. Also, if we're just going by canon the mind trick has never been used as more than a momentary distraction. I'd also say that outright mind control like you're suggesting is more of a Dark Side power.

Okay, assuming a Jedi has gotten close enough to mind trick me I'm pretty fucked. In that case, Toydarian bodyguards with slug throwers should be enough insurance to make it into a Mexican stand-off. I with the DMS, the Toydarians to shoot the Jedi in case I get Mind Tricked and the Jedi being forced into the same situation as he would have been at the start.

People say killing Jedi is hard. It's not. You just have to be smart about it. No blasters, no getting close to them, no attacking them directly when you can gun down their allies instead. There's ways of gassing them, drugging them, making them lose control, torturing them.

You can teach yourself... techniques. It's hard for a Jedi to sense what you're really thinking if you throw up walls of strong emotions and feelings. Lust, impatience, cowardice... most Jedi awareness doesn't cruise beyond the surface feelings, to see what's deeper.

Easy. First, I hire an assassin who can shapeshift. Then I buy some poisonous space bugs. Then I give this assassin the space bugs and tell them to buy a droid which will put the space bugs in the jedi's room then, when discovered, the droid will run back to the assassin's position for no reason rather than self destruct or something. The jedi will no doubt sense the bugs coming and deal with them accordingly. After that, the jedi will see the flying droid and give chase. Maybe he'll jump onto it or maybe he'll get into his car and follow it, that part isn't important. Anyways, so the jedi will find his way back to the assassin I hired to kill him. The shapeshifting assassin will then, rather than run away, try to engage the jedi in close quarters combat. This is where the plan all comes together, ensuring my collection of this bounty. The jedi will defeat the assassin I've hired and I, from a distance, will shoot the assassin I've hired before he can get any information out of them. I'll probably shoot from the top of a building or something cool like that. The jedi will be so overwhelmed from all the steps I've taken to kill him that he'll realize I'm on some next level shit here and he'll surrender accordingly.

No anon, that's not a true, pure microwave weapon. I mean simply using a wide beam microwave emitter, something similar to our modern area denial weapon but built for lethal use, and hand held. You're basically using a flamethrower for all intents and purposes, but it's instant, can't be dodged, and will kill everything not wearing heavily insulated armor that can keep the wearer from being cooked.

Like I said, Star Wars doesn't have a pure microwave weapon, just MASERs, because a microwave widebeam raygun would break everything and make shit like Jedi irrelevant.

>>44460835
Plastoid wouldn't stop a microwave weapon, or at least not for very long. The shit gets fried by flamethrowers, and the coverage isn't complete. The bodysuit is exposed and would melt, fusing with the flesh under it and generally doing horrible things. You'd need 100% coverage of ceramic armor to absorb the heat without killing you. No gaps could be afforded.

The only parts of Plagueis I can remember being recanonized is Sheev having a droid with the same role and designation as Plagueis's research droid.

Also they recanonized Iceheart's dad while simultaneously refusing to use the reboot as a chance to make Yularen into a Grand Admiral instead of the weird EU history where he quit the navy to join the ISB.

Also they totally destroyed the competition the Legends EU had between Imperial Intelligence and COMPNOR's ISB by making Daddy Isard head of COMPNOR instead of ImpInt.

I thought I was done being pissed off at this. I was wrong. Fucking... Of all the things you could do with a hovering droid with a perfectly silent glass cutter, a shape shifting assassin with a sniper rifle, two deadly space bugs, and a poison dart of instant death, that's got to be the worst plan imaginable.

Remember, anon, he was ultimately being hired by Palpatine, who ultimately wanted to use Padme to get to Anakin. Actually killing her would ruin the plan. Jango fucked up that job on purpose, at the explicit request of his employer. I bet those bugs weren't even venomous.
