So we are right next door to the cheese fucking elf fuckers and seperated from them by a line of mountains, thank fuck.
To the east is dorf land. We get on ok with them. Usually. They have rights to the mineral wealth of the eastern mountain wall and get pissed off because of illegal human mining operations.
All the good agriculture is in the west of the province. The further east you go the less bountiful the land. Good land is a relative term. We don't have all that much for export but we aren't exactly starving.
There's at least one Chaos cult operating and at one cult that looks vampiric.
Its a bit like Scotland without a coast line.

And they're poor either because they've been failing for so long they're completely under the thumb of his family which claims all their income, or because they've sworn off all material possessions and riches save the basic equipment of war needed to kill the bastard, again until they've fulfilled their oath.
