My character has a large staff. Which include the following:

So 30 members of staff total. However this number is likely going to expand as I bring in an accountant, physician, and performers.
He's a nearly starving suspended college student.
My character has novitiate members of his religious order. (Yes, including choirboys. Go ahead and laugh it up, we do at my table.) It's about the same, except you don't actually expect them to be good at maid stuff and you have to reinforce that it's to teach them humility, hard work and discipline.
Why would an AI need maids? Domestic drones are more than sufficient, and they do not demand livable wages, or health insurance, or food, or any of that other whiny organic crap.

Yes, actually. A small amount, to recuperate him and to give him as much time to practice for the arena as possible. Of course, they're not actually *his* maids, as much as his owner's, but he technically has a small share in himself anyway (the party all invested in him and another player in order to enter the arena and make bank).
Another character a friend of mine played had two servants (one a maid) who carried a box full of twenty pistols around with him wherever he went. They would hand the player pistols so he could fire them at enemies himself, and reload them for him. This was despite the fact that he was considerably worse at shooting than his servants. But he was also rich as balls.

I live in a city, and the town has guards. The guards are only really there to chase off drunks or rowdy individuals.
The issue is I'm level 10, and they're level 2-3 NPCs. If someone with an actual chance of murdering me shows up, they're not gonna stand a chance.
Plus a nymph lives in my pond and she doesn't take kindly to people breaking into my house. I trust her because she's CR 7.

1. A wizard living in not!Rome. He uses golems and shit for heavy lifting, but for general housework activity he has slaves, some slaves who bought their freedom and remained in his employ, plus a couple of homunculi made-to-design for specific stuff.
2. Current character, a third son of an oil baron in ~1920s America (campaign is urban fantasy, supernatural and shit) with nobility as relatives back in Britain. He has a butler and a maid assigned to him by the family for his travels. The maid pulls triple service as maid, bodyguard and occasional lover.
Yeah, my character is expirimenting with making sapient golems. One of the prototypes is a butler of sorts who enjoys creating art.

Well my Red Dragon Sorc alchemist kinda earned a fortune and decided to buy him self a property to grow the ingridents he needs and store his stuff.
He got two women who always followed him around after being saved by him from slave merchants to work for him as maids and maintain his estate and greenhouse.
After that he started to adopt young orphaned girls who were meant to be sold to a brothel, taught them basic alchemy and raised them in his wife-rearing project.

My maid is a trap. Fortunately, my butler is a reverse trap. They're twins. I have never caught them being indecent. I have my suspicions though.
The maid keeps the house in working order and ensures my magical studies are interrupted as little as possible. The butler tends to my personal needs and assists in some of the magical work. I don't really have any other staff, unless you count the other PC's whom I often treat like staff.

Not my character personally but our entire party.
We're a squad of police from a Cyberpunk game and one girl was witness to a massive underworld deal taking place and she needed to be put into witness protection.
After she was almost killed at her first location we realised there is a leak from within the force so she was taken to a safe house our squad maintains off-books.
She looks after the place and has more or less become a live-in maid.
Soon her use as a witness is going to expire as every lead we've chased up so far has led to a shoot-out that's killed another one of the individuals involved in underworld deal.

If a guard goes missing, two guards should know about it and relay it down the chain or sound a general alarm.
If a both guards of a buddy system go missing, other guard-oairs may not realise.
Also my character is a wandering paladin. Maybe later he'll get a permanent home with staff.

The said psion is a LN person who has 'officially' retired from adventuring with enough wealth to live like a nobleman. Something that frustates a ton of town nobles because his wealth has brought a lot of new business and broken a lot of their old hold on the townsfolk and the politics.
He's never alone, having over a hundred perfectly willing servants around him, as well as two allies standing besides him at all times, one a maid-dressed psychic warrior, that wears a glamor on a suit of armor. The other being a psi-blade and more or less treated as his daughter.
There's no lewd content in the game but its implied from time to time that he's living a playboy lifestyle with his followers, whom he is teaching psionics.
Now, the kicker? He's actually an old Elan, meaning he's going to be around forever, and is laying down the groundwork for a dominion of his own that he sees as the only logical step since the kingdom is about to fall apart soon with the dying monarch and 3 rivalling princes fighting for the crown, each born to a different mother, the sole 'legit' heir being a princess, the princess having been bastards that were recognised when it was apparent the daughter would not make a proper ruler (misogynistic bastards and all) for the country.
Civil war is pretty sure to crop up, and a group of manipulative but well-intentioned psions are standing ready to take over. Psi-Blade assassin, Psychic-Warrior bodyguard, and a powerful Psion capable of forcing people to speak the truth in all things will make rooting out vile and corrupt easy.
He's not outright evil but I imagine he'll be cast as a villain in later games, if he manages to establish that stronghold.

Yes. Being an intergalactic warlord who's beliefs are personal freedoms and overall well being for everyone. Also (relatively) fabulously wealthy and has settled several uninhabited planets for a few former slave species. Combine all of this with a hedonistic attitude and ultra high charisma (functions as the face). More then a few of her personal friends and followers have wanted to function as maids. They are treated with the utmost respect and gratitude. They always enjoy getting treats and favors from thier mistress who loves them with all her heart. This can just be a heated night of passion or a lovely gift to indulge in thier hobbies. One has a knack for computers the other writes erotica. Many of her other followers will dress up knowing it will get them some attention. Even the mistress herself loves putting on a maid outfit and servicing her close friends. Yes this character was built very magical realmy. However it was built by the other PCs. They just didn't expect me to roll with it.

A lot of tropes in anime can be attributed to... well, I'll call it Occidentalism as a counterpart to the Orientalism we have in the West. It explains why Nips think Paris is some 18th century aristocratic city where everyone dresses like a supermodel and why they think Germans are all hard vorking supersoldiers.
